What are you currently working on??

I have been stripping down a Cub Cadet RZTS zero turn mower. Left word at a local mower shop that I wanted a junk zero turn with a flat frame
for cheap. They called Saturday and presented me with this beauty. I only need the basic frame and the front spindles. It will become a wagon, or hay rack, or people hauler for parades.
Older brother-Trail95- has been given the muffler, electric pto, tires, and mower deck. He has a similar zero turn of his own. Although not quite so WELL DONE. The hydros are going on craigs list. The internals of the engine may still be good, but it is going into the scrap pile.

I got this stripped down and ready to clean and turn into something the grand kids will enjoy.

I got these lift parts I needed back in the summer for my White 1855. I cleaned them up and painted them. They were missing the two threaded J hooks for the chains. I picked up a pair of 3/8” hooks at TSC. I went to put them on and their 3/8” are not even 5/16” even though they are tagged 3/8”. They are too sloppy in the holes. I’ll have to pick up a pair of maybe 7/16” if they even have those, another job unfinished.

No pics, but I installed a 'used' hour meter on the JD 316. Had 650 hours showing, so I changed the oil and filter. First time since getting this running. Now I can see when it's coming due.

Shifted gears for tonight after work so didn't work on the MF1450. I was inspired by a tool find in the scrap trailer at work! I try to take a quick look when I'm at that part of the plant. Found 2 tire spoons so soon as I got home from work, I had to put them to work.
The tube for the RR on the MTD LT that I'm doing some repairs on for a friend came in yesterday.

Surprisingly, the wheel came off the tractor fairly easy. With the help of a "wonder bar" the bead let go easily too.
Rim is in good shape! The spoons worked great. Didn't get pics actually using them since my hands were pretty full---LOL!

Put a little air in the tube to stretch it out a bit, cleaned the inside of the tire with the shop vac and rubbed baby powder around inside the tire and all over the tube.

Stuffed the tube in and worked the bead back on. Had to use vise grips to help keep the tire bead from traveling around as I spooned it over the rim.

Got the bead back in and aired it up and deflated it several times to let the tube find it's place.

I'll check it tomorrow after work to see if it stays at 15 psi.

This is that tire That looked like shaving cream on it in the MF1450 thread.

No tractor work tonight. Came home from work and the water heater is leaking. I want to get a Marathon lifetime warranty but no dealer for them open until Monday. One of the dumbest things I ever did was 9-1/2 years ago when I replaced this one, I didn't put ball valves on the lines to be able to isolate it. That means I will have to shut water off to the house to drain and replace the damm thing. I took a shower right away and now my wife is showering then I'll shut the water off at the softener. Hook up a hose and get it drained. Have to leave the water off until I figure out how to cap the pex lines after they are removed from the heater. Can't remember how I did it then.

First water heater that came with the house was a "6 year" warranty. Started leaking at 6 years and one month. This one had a 9 year warranty. Started leaking at 9 years and about 6 months. Engineered obsolescence at it's finest!

Oh, the tire is still right at 15 psi!

Worked on my decal for my mini bike. Then decided to put my new rear sprocket on. Went from a 50 tooth to a 60 tooth to gain some low end power and try to keep my belt from slipping intermittently. Also threw on a new chain. Old one was original and it’s been handing more than twice the HP a cheap Chinese chain is rated for.

Got the parts needed for the new water heater install on Monday. Put valves on the lines so I could turn the water back on so we can use toilets and have drinking water. Drug the old one outside. Will haul to the dump later.

The carb parts came in for that Gardenway LT I'm working on but all I got done was putting the RR wheel back on after putting the tube in the tire the other night.

Working at the plant 8 hours tomorrow, overtime, so probably won't be very productive at home.
