What are you currently working on??

We have a cat like that. Swear the poor guy has separation anxiety. If he can’t get to you he meows non stop.

Oddly I am allergic to cats. But only if they sleep in the bed. Their dander must get in the bed or something. My cat Richard sit on my lap all the time and it doesn’t bother me. But if he sleeps in the bed I wake up congested

We got stuck with our daughter's big, fat house cat when she moved to Aberdeen. I'm allergic to them too but even my mom had dogs and cats regardless of my allergies when I was a kid. Large Marge is not allowed in our bedroom at all so at least I can sleep well. I play with her and if I touch her I need to wash my hands soon before I touch my eyes. I have learned how to deal with them since there has always been critters around, but soon as this cat is gone, no more animals!

Had a bunch of house chores and errands to run in town, but the breeze quit this afternoon, and it was 55*F so I hurried up and got the pressure washer and the Gardenway LT out into the grass. Didn't get time to spray degreaser on but it still did a decent job. The underside could have been done better but at least I got to do this much! Might be a week or more before we hit 50 degrees again.

Think I have enough crap crammed into the shop---LOL?

Today I finished fabricating the the headache rack for the tractor pallet forks. Couple of months ago I picked up a set of forks and the mount for a $175 bucks. Then purchased a set of quick attach brackets. Tomorrow if it's not raining too hard I'm going to see how they fit on the tractor and hopefully get a couple of pictures.

Sounds like your back to normal already, that’s a good thing

I’ll have to show my wife your ringer washer in the morning. I bought her one several years ago. It worked good but for some reason it broke a part up on top that looks like it’s made out of magnesium. I would like to repair it for her not that we use it but just to get it back to working condition. She’s thinking about putting hers out near her new clothes line I put up for her back last summer.

Kind of looks like another building for tractor storage i sin order. Machines cleaned up nice.

3D CAD plans for the VAWT wind generator. ;)

Today the wind gusts are 40mph. 16mph constant. I can understand why the 1st video I had referenced was built like a tank. 70mph winds do happen at times out this way. Depending on the arm spacing and distance away from center determines the robustness at high winds, however poor performance at slower wind speeds.

Glad you are feeling better, Chris! Paying for it the next day does beat sitting around and rotting!

My wife got it out of a mouse and pigeon infested building out at her aunt's ranch. It might even work, it's all there but it's going to have plants growing out of it someday when she decides to do it. There is one that had a gas engine in that first picture too but the engine and ringer is gone.

Your wife's sounds like it will fit in nicely out by the clothesline, Jim!

Thanks, Roger. Yeah I need to build a "T"-shed--- "t" for tractor! I have 90% of the materials to build a new bigger shed and tear down two little sheds that are in bad shape. Just need to make time---story of my life---LOL!

Not much work going on the last 2 days. Had to call off yesterday, took my wife to Dr office, they sent her to hospital, was "against medical advice" to drive her there vs getting an ambulance ride. Only 3 miles but she wanted me to take her there Instead of the 'meat wagon"
She's been there about a day and a half so far, has pneumonia. NO COVID though. They did test. I'm so tired of "covid 1st" mentality now a days. As of last night the Dr said she would probably be there 2-3 days. I dunno whether to count yesterday in that as it was late when I got an answer. So if I count today as the 1st, and it holds true, she should be out Thursday or Friday.
I had to go by her work, and the " manager" pissed me off.
Before I could finish telling her why my wife wouldn't be there this week right away she said something about a form she would have to get filled out by a Dr before she can return. I said something about paper work 1st, think about the person 2nd,what a crock/ and I wasn't happy about that and she said "don't go there" it's them(whoever "them" is)
I wanted to tell her what application in the bath room that form might be more usable for but stopped short.
I told her we had more than a damn piece of paper to worry about, and she walked out on me.

Sounds like a person you would not want to work for. If she didn't really need that job it might be worth considering time for a change. Things will only get worse. Carolyn worked for a guy that made the girls in house keeping check out when their hours were in and then go back and finish the work so there was no overtime.
She had to work an hour OT due to a late surgery and that did it. One phone call to Fair Labor people in Omaha and they were here the next day. Got very expensive for the Hospital and her Supervisor.

So sorry DT not a good day at all for you and your wife. Prayers that she’ll feel much better and get to come home soon. I don’t want to cause this to be a political post so I’ll hold my opinion on the up coming narrative crap coming again.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated.
They took her out of the ICU yesterday between the time I got off of work and getting up there.
As to what chieffan was saying Donna's been at her job 24 years now, they never used to be how they are now used to be so much different.
I think alot of it is the "manager" at this store or at least I hope it is. She works at farm and fleet. The longer she's there the more I hate going in there even as a customer. Ive talked to her about going elsewhere and it's like talking to a wall.

Went home, hit the shower and back at the hospital. When I got home, there was a soggy box on my porch. My box of 10 23-10.5-12 tubes is here.
I ordered 4 each of 4.80-8 and 16-6.50-8 tubes from another seller, even tube prices have gotten insane
I need a couple of 24x12-12 tubes but I ain't paying $25/each. No way no how.

Shop at a different Blains F&F store. :) I wish there were more TSCs in the area, it's an hour one way. We have a Fleet-Farm 40mins the other way. They are very pricey prior to C19 ordeal.

I really like Rural King, but there isn't one on this side of the state.

I've got some sign stuff I have been working on last night and tonight after work.

So sorry to read about your wife, Dodge! I hope she is recovering quickly. Far as the job goes, I can understand her being reluctant to change jobs after 24 years.

I think management attitude or practice, however you would word it, took a dramatic change within the last 10-15 years. It seems that the priority nowadays by administration is to document and blame. Mine and my wife's job took a turn for the worse in the last few years, all on the admin end. If we would have known that this was happening in time, we both would have looked for different jobs. Now we are too close to retirement to make a drastic change. Just have to try to put up with the BS for a few more years is about all we can do.

Keep us posted on how Donna is doing!

Problem is the one she works at is 10 miles away, next closest is about 70. A little far to go unless I had another reason to be in that area.

My son and DIL just bought their first house a couple months ago. They both work at home with good jobs. He’s off on Wednesday and Thursday and I’ve been going out there one of those days each week doing things. Today I plumbed in a water line for their new fridge, did some work on their car, made a list of drywall for the new nursery. I’m not looking forward to that at all next week. For me drywall is second to painting...I hate it.
