What are you currently working on??

I didn't want it but I didn't want my daughter to hate me either. My wife wanted it so I was outvoted. I don't want any pets. Hopefully when this cat croaks that is how it will be.

We have had small dog s for in house pets for 25 years or more. The black Pom we have now is the most enteretainting one of the bunch. Any time we are going for several hours and come home the first place he checks is Ceolyns purse to se if there is an chicken in it fo him .

Was in town today running errands. Came to a stop sign and brake pedal slowly went to the floor. Was slow speed stop so no issues. Parked at the hospital for PT, when I can out there was a puddle of brake fluid inside and back of the RF wheel. Limped it home and in the garage. Now to call my mechanic and see when he can get it in. Last time this happened was several years ago and was on the back. Ended up replacing the back 2/3rds of the brake lines. Will probably do the whole front this time rather than piece meal it together.

Loading new computer with dumb win10 desktop. My win8.1 puter took a vax. Lol
Dang phone is a pain for the past week browsing the web. I cant understand how people prefer it. Tiny screens, dumb autocorrect and painful key pad. I made over 20 spell mistakes typing this.
Give me 32 inch monitor, 6core AMD, 12Gb ram, 2T hdd.
Got high speed internet and using the dumb phone. Errrr

I'm with you Brett. I just read a bit on the phone, and do some simple, mostly one word text messages! Give me my PC any day over that puny little thing. My fingers are way too fat for anything technical on a phone. Actually, I hate touch screens in general. I have an Ipad too and get just as mad at it as the phone trying to type anything more than a few words! Since I have more than one finger on each hand, one of the other fingers will hit the screen in places I don't even know I'm touching and then the sh!tshow really starts---LOL!

Not a big fan of Windows 10 either. I miss XP!

Opps got on a rant again---LOL!

My only benefit is, its win10 pro with almost no bloatware like the Home edition. Spent the weekend trying to get Linx to work, but after no suppirt for Intel 630 and Intel chipset, I gave up. Im now using the darkside OS.
DD has a phone with a stylist to ooke at the screen.

Had to get a new computer about four months ago, came with Win10, still miss my old one that had Win 7.

I finally got used to W10 but it took a while. Not a bit interested in W11 either. Only thing I use a stupid phone for is the camera, when I remember to carry it. They are for phone calls and nothing else. One little thing goes hay wire and you dead in the water on everything. Went in to a US Cellular place a couple years ago with the dil to get her phone replaced - upgrade. Lady from out of state was there throwing a big fit a she had just taken a bunch of wedding pictures and when they transferred the information to her new phone all the pictures were lost. She stormed out wit her old non working phone. What happened to the old saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" ? ?

I had to get a new computer last year and the tech asked if I wanted W10 or W11 I took 11 Pro and some things are hard to find but it all works good.

The wife's phone was dying so she just had to get a new so I ended up with one also and verizon wanted $30.00 to do a transfer. She uses her phone for just about everything. I never even set up voicemail on mine, I have a landline for messages.

I have windows 11 home on both of my computers. So far no issue. My new work laptop has 11 pro.

I typically only browse the forums and internet on my phone. I hardly ever open a web browser on my computers. Phone is always with me and I feel pretty comfortable typing and editing on it. I make typos here and there but I don’t really care. I’m typing on a message forum, not writing a thesis for my masters.

Yep, great as a camera and phone. Use the USB to move pixs to computer and backups.

Sneak peak....I will be working in this when the weather breaks.
Kind of a rarity, don't see many around 1978 Sears GT18 hydroxide, gotta figure out a motor for it. View attachment 64193
When I bought my SS15 the guy had its brother hydro right next to it. I have kicked myself so many times not getting that. I’ve only seen one other but never seen what you have before Marty. Make a separate build thread when you start.

Yea, my buddy has an SS 12 hydro he keeps trying to sell me, probably should buy it too.
They made an ss16 hydro I think in 74 or 75, an 18/6 hydro in 77 and this is a '78 GT18 hydro. Not many around of the later years.
If I had been 4 hrs east, I would have had a 18/6 hydro a couple months ago, went cheap.

A little challenging project yesterday on Carols hair straightening iron. It kept going off and on so I could just throw it away but I like a challenge. It’s a neat design being able to rotate the cord at the end of the handle. The plug and socket in the handle was in good shape. I was loosing continuity from one side of the wire to the wall plug. I found the wire was broke and had been arcing. I cut both wires so I could slide several shrink tubes to cover my connections. All worked out.
