What are you currently working on??

I drove this snowblower up into truck. Plan is to re power my SS12 in my avatar as this snow blower is the cheap easy method
I used a snowblower engine to repower my MF12G, Jazz. Love the engine, but miss having a 12V starter. Never really been a major issue though. Probably been nearly 20 years ago now. Engine is a 10 HP Tec, 110V starter. It came off of a big Craftsman man killer.

It should work well for you!

Trailer lights. Got a different trailer a few weeks ago and about the same time traded trucks. Tried the light nool up yesterday and nothing. Don't think the truck socket has been used, at least not in a long time as it was full of dust, etc. Couple different plugs and sockets together on the trailer so have to start at the truck and get power out of there first. If I have a big plug that fits the truck will put that on and eliminate two connection points. Will start with an emery board, electronics cleaner and the air hose and go from there.

Does this one have the recessed tail lights like your other one.

I bent a blade on my ZT and I got a set of blades from amazon and had to modify them for mulching. I got my big 9" air grinder out and got hose set up to use it. It uses a lot of air so had to use in short spurts got the new blades on and tested not I can mow the front yard. I also got my ladder out and trimmed branches the would get into the AC on my camper when pulled through under it.

No it don't. H&H build. Good built trailers but do have the side mounted lights. Had power into the trailer harness so pulled on tail light lens off. Metal bracket for the ground for the bulb was all rust. One of the brass clips for the bulb contacts was loose. Put the cover back on and ordered a pair of LED water proof lights. Those cheep lights just don't last. Outside looks real good. Lens for parts for ?? and the rest is jumk.

So, my son and grandson came over last Saturday and they put this little trailer together. I sorta helped.
:giggle:

Any way. Will be handy to have. This is the one I might put hydraulic dump on. Might.
Trailer sets good. Almost level. Used a block of wood under the ball latch to level the trailer out. Could have bolted the ball latching thing underneath, but that would have tipped the trailer up more on the front. 3 point arms in the way a little for turning. So got those lifted. Will see how that works. May see if I can find taller tires, that would give more dump angle.
There ya go, some entertainment for you. Oh yeah, daytime running lights on.
:giggle:

They are handy to have. It’s set up good for your Case. I made mine several years ago and gets a lot of use. I very seldom use the dump, most stuff won’t come out unless you rake it or drive away sometimes while dumping. The rear LT tires work great on these.

Nice trailers, Noel and Jim! Very handy. Mine came from, you guessed it---the scrap trailer at work---LOL! It had been badly overloaded and the axle and the axle mount were bent up badly. Straightened and welded things and it works well again. I built a lever I can reach from the tractor seat to dump it recently.

Getting mad at B+S for their CHEAP 'e' engine line. Bought a 5Hp push mower with bagger attached at Aldi's for a mere $139 in 2019. The 500e engine took a dump all on it's own. The boys and I opened it up. Surprise, surprise, it has PLASTIC guts inside. Even the casted aluminum walls were way thinner over the normal engines. The carb is ALL plastic too. Some plastic tooth broke off one of the internal gears, go into the aluminum piston and it all fell apart from there.

Welcome to the real age of being green and cheap, nice Briggs. Green means let the engine self destruct in less than 5 years to buy a new one.

I have a Briggs 6.75Hp with the same mounting to the deck. It's built more like a tank; metal carb, more parts to pull off to get to the coil, metal fuel tank, etc. This engine will go on the deck now. :)

This weekend is blown to bits. Definitely didn't/couldn't come close to what I wanted to do.
Friday we stopped by the MILs house, and discovered her water heater leaking. She wondered why she had no hot water "all of a sudden" the last 2 days. And I've been having to do all the yardwork up there the past several years besides.
Well my wife asked her the day before if it needed mowed. "Looks fine, haven't had rain, not growing". Well then how did it get calf high from Thursday to Friday?
So while there I ended up draining the leaking water heater, and removing it to the back porch.
So yesterday was to go replace the water heater and mow-which I had to do twice. Lucky it was so dry as the clippings disintegrated to dust. If it were at all wet or damp it would be a hayfield as it is usually when the grass is half as tall as she let it get to....

My mother in law is 77or 78 but more like a 4 year old.
She insisted on going with me to Menards to get the new one, when I wanted my wife to go instead. We had our 9 mo old granddaughter with us who was crying and screaming non stop, and MIL didn't want to hear that so she INSISTED my wife stay back with screamy and she was going with me. And that we take her walker which she needs like a hole in her head ... She can walk perfectly fine without it.

We already had to drive up in 2 vehicles because of car seat rules ... We got along without much of that just fine. For "how many" years? But even if just not to hear the daughter in law scream like when I took my grandson in his car seat in the only seat my truck has .... That started world war (what are we on now ... About WW24 I think) and the Durango wouldn't hold a water heater in it's small cargo hold area.....

Well my brother in law installed the last water heater (he's no longer with us) and wrote the date he put the now dead one in ... My MIL INSISTED That one had a "10 yr warranty" and first that it came from home Depot then "well it could have been Menards"
So I struggled to load the old one on my truck by myself and we ended up at Menards. Since I know that they handle the same brand of tank that I was now replacing.got the guy on the floor to come out to the parking lot to look. The dead one was a 6 yr warranty. And the dead one is 7-1/2 years old.
So we had to buy one. I now know how to read model numbers which includes the warranty and the build date.
My MILs "excuse" for having to be the one to ride with me was so she could pay for it even though my wife does her check book since MIL can't seem to any more. Well we get to the register and she asks "so how does this work?" C'mon now by 5 years old any kid knows how to go thru a cash register and pay for what is being bought..... And believe me my MIL used to know that process well/ as that's how her checkbook got to be such a mess to begin with/ and why my wife now has to handle it.....
And she doesn't understand letting us know when the yard needs mowed ... She definitely did as recently as last mowing season

I had planned to go to a car show earlier and a cruise night about 50 miles the other way last night....

And today we're getting teased with (admittedly) much needed rain... But tomorrow it's back to work...

Sorry Noel, it will be mowing Tuesday this week---LOL! Had to run some errands and then when I got home, I decided to go around and cut off low hanging tree branches that was going to take out an eye or knock me off the tractor one of these days! Back is paying for it now.

I’ve been watering the garden so much lately I’ve been leaving the hose out. The other day I had already drove over the rubber hose several times but for got about the last 50’ section was one of those stupid flexible hoses. Needless to say I turned that one hose into three smaller hoses. My Simplicity deck just sucked that hose up like a tornado.

These hoses are unique by having a very small and very flexible rubber hose inside of a very tough woven nylon sheath. I had to use couplings much larger than the hose because of extreme expansion and not restrict the flow. I slightly heated the hose then little by little stretched it over the pieces of 1/2” copper. I can pull with everything I got and these will not slide off as they are dry. I need to get some clamps because I know once this expands it may pull off I’m sure.

I thought I was the only one to do things like that.

I mowed yesterday with the boy's Scag zero turn, I cut the end of my hose off.

Worked on the Sears 16/6 tonight, removed all the old HF winch wiring and testing the electric actuator I got from Rick last year. The factory switch still works.

Also been working in garden, sisters have been doing some since half of veggies are theirs (big rows of beans, potatoes and most of tomatoes). Looking pretty good this year.

Nice looking garden Marty

My mom passed away a few years ago and this was her little mower. She wouldn’t let my dad near her flowers with his tractor. I got it out the other day for my son. He has a fairly rough area that he’s been grooming outside of his yard area that had been neglected near his woods. I thought it would be a good little mower for his rough stuff. Only thing I had to do was clean the tank and it started right up.
