What are you currently working on??

Just like everything else oil refinements has come a long way since the OE manuals and tractor were made. I am down to two cubs with hydro's now, but had around 15 at one time several years ago. Every one of them, as soon as I could do it the hydro and filter was drained, new filter and Northland Hytran was put in. Northland makes this oil for several tractor companies with their own brand on the container. It is good enough oil for half million $$ tractors and combines so it will work in our little hydro with no problems. Case IH, John Deere, Ford, etc. Same oil with different colorings in some. This information came from a Northland rep when he was at an independent repair shop I used. You do what you want but can't go wrong with Northland Hytran. Every manufacturer is going to tell you to use ONLY their oil for a reason, $$ in their pockets.
