What are you currently working on??

Got the halves put back together and the new clutch seems to work fine. Getting two halves of a tractor lined up so they slip back together turns out to be more work than I expected. Worked better after we installed two long line up bolts for guides. Now to put all the trim back on and drive it.

Spent the afternoon working on the GT235 . The extra lawn cutting took a bit of a toll on her this year.
She developed an oil leak and charging issue so worked to fix that and do normal service also then get the snow blower mounted up to it
Replaced the voltage regulator and diode, new oil filter housing, new oil cooler lines , oil change, air cleaner, spark plugs, new thrust washers on the rear axles both sides to keep the wheel hubs from rubbing into the rear and installed new drive belt.
Had fender deck off and washed out the underneath. Hopefully get her put back together tomorrow and get blower mounted. Want to try and get the front wheels painted and remove muffler to check it thing it’s leaking also.
Glad Ive got the 210 around as a helper may need a new set of front tires this spring.

Laying laminate floor, putting down trim, moving the TV, couch and chairs in the new living room!

Spent about 40 hours on it this week in addition to my 60 hours at work. Wore out! But it will be done today and I hope to be watching TV in there and putting up the tree tonight.

I know first hand what is is like to redo living and dining rooms. $$$ Yours is looking good. My Grandson / Son has a Oculus VR computer set up on the left of the TV. This prevents a coffee table as the floor space is needed. Dining room was just completed with the 6th chair. Just in time for Thanksgiving. Best part for me was "No credit was used".

On another note, I am getting ready to do another RED's Winter Refresh. Should I start a dedicated thread, Post Here, or stay in my "Life in Central Texas" threads?
I am thinking a new thread "RED's 917.255450 2019 Winter Refresh"
What do you think?

Here is what I started with. Closets in the old bedroom. Ruined ceiling from where the old walls were. Floor messed up. Ductwork in the wrong places. Not enough outlets. Walls that didnt line up

It feels so weird not sitting 6 feet from the TV! It's nice. 20181027_200801.jpg

Looking at doing some recon work later on also.
The closet in the main bedroom has two by-pass 24" doors. there is another 22" of closet space beyond the right hand door. Hard to get into and not good usable space. Looking at taking out 22" of that wall, new closet interior and new doors. Not sure how I want to door yet. Definitely no by-fold doors - take up to much room. May end up with 3 by-pass doors. Don't think I can get wide enough doors to go with two.

Recon work can be scary.

My house is always a crap shoot. Being built in 1911 it has undergone many changes in 107 years. Rooms moved, rooms added, rooms divided, electrical system changes, water supply line changes, bathrooms added, bathrooms removed...You never know what you will find when you start tearing stuff out. Mulitple layers of drywall, plaster, ect. Walls don't line up. Walls need shimmed. Old doorways hidden in the wall. When I was doing my laundry room I found a solid oak door behind the drywall that was still hooked up (without a knob). Opened it and was looking at the back of the bathroom wall. I would love to go back in time and see my house when it was first built, it probably isn't even close to what it looked like then.

In my last house which was built in 1898 I found an entire room that had been blocked off behind the bathroom sink! It had a barn style roof on the top, and at one time what I assumed was the attic that was just blocked off was actually a finished room. It was complete with plaster walls and trim. Not very big but it would of been a functional bedroom for the time period the home was built. I had a full size plastic skeleton from Halloween that I put in there and covered with an old bed sheet. I figured one day someone else will go in and tear out the bathroom and be in for a surprise!

You can get 36" doors that would to keep it to 2 doors. There are a couple closets in my home with that size doors.

Keeping warm! It's still only 30° (-1C) out there. Not warming very fast. And I want to hook up the 316 driveshaft.

With the kids and wife interrupting me every 10 minutes I got the floor down. All the tools cleaned up and back in the work shop.

One of my pet peeves is getting interrupted when trying to work on something. Most of the time it is nothing that couoldn't wait.
