What did you do with your tractor today?

Mowing Monday was a lot more work than normal for this old fart! I actually used both tractors on the same day! Hooked the yard cart on to the MF8E and started picking up branches and twigs that I felt shouldn't be hit by the mower.

Ate a fast lunch, prepped the MF12G and mowed after that. Our yard and the neighbor lady's front yard. Both tractors ran perfect! Figured a pic of them together was appropriate since they both got to do some work on the same day!

I have a red oak in my front yard that singlehandedly disproves the theory that matter can neither be created, nor destroyed. It never stops dropping limbs. We can have 50 mph winds, rain and hail that leave my yard covered. Pick them all up and the next day--more limbs. And it's a solid healthy tree. During the day when I'm on phone calls, I walk around picking up sticks. It never ends.

Used the JD 68 to top the weeds here. First time in a month.

Tractors at the construction site. Hehe. Son is upgrading his deck.
Fella at lumber yard was saying it’s hard to get building materials. Out of some stuff. Some stuff not coming in until September. He figures building will slow way down because of no stock with in 3 months.

It was a normal mowing Monday again. Our yard, neighbor's front yard and did the trimming too. MF12G ran fine. We have a 90% chance for rain but got done before any moisture.

Had grunt out doing some cultivating and a drive thru the woods looking for my survey pins.

Did you find the pins? My neighbor is currently fighting the guy on the other side of him, city slicker who REMOVED the pins because "They were in the way of his mulching mower"! Didn't seem to occur to him that they might be telling him he wasn't on his property any more!

Ya I knew where some were. One other one I didn’t find, but I have an idea where it is. Just have to alittle more lookin. Because the land behind mine is now for sale, I want to find them and mark a line to make sure the Beepin developers stay the beep out and don’t cut down any of my trees.

Noel

Love your land, Noel, I don't blame you for wanting to keep those beepin' creeps off of it! How much land do you have? It will suck when they start building. Looks like a little parts stash back there too! I haven't seen our pins in 35 years. I think when they dug in a water main out front that those two got dug up and thown away before the contractor would have been responsible. I mow a pass or two onto both neighbors yards in hopes of seeing them but no luck.

Did a few quick passes with the mower for mom so she doesn't have to do the side hills

Ran the Roper to move a couple things

Then I spent a half hour putting the box and wiring in the New Way so I can take it to any shows that crop up.
