What did you do with your tractor today?

Ya, those tires look like they would give good traction. Nice tractor. Must have diff lock ? Power steering. ?

Noel.

I've had the HDAP tires before on a 1974-112 with a snowblower, only time I needed chains was with ice under the snow. One of the reasons for going with the X500 series. Both power steering & differential lock.

Grille guard was $130, cheaper than a replacement hood!

brought my Cub 129 out to the storage barn, brought the barn owner's 1250 home in its place, mowed most of 5 acres today with my wife on the 1250 and me on a Cub 1200 til the 1250 started acting bad and would barely run.... at which time I dug out my Ariens GT16 and had the wife take the 1200 so we could finish. when I get the 1250 straightened out I have to bring the barn owner's other 1200 home for a clutch job...…

Had grunt out with the tandem disks today. Want to make sure they still spin and grease them. Still work great. But with a manual lift on the tractor, it’s a bit heavy to lift with one arm. And even with two it’s a struggle. Hydraulic lift would be nice.

Used the YT16H Ford to cut the grass. Had a small thing fix on the deck, so had to lie on ground to do this,,,,,,but then I said. There’s a hoist here,,,, why would I lie on the ground. Hehe. So up ya go tractor. And while up, I cleaned the deck. We have not made a thing for the tractors yet on the hoist which is would be much safer. This was a temporary thing because of this emergency today. Worked great. If your thinking about getting a hoist, do it. So much easier.

Noel
That is scary ! ! Almost like your loader tractor - can't say which is scariest right off. :confused:o_O

Ya JDJake. Almost the same. Other than the weight holders. Grease fittings on the shafts. Mine does. Neat tool to have.

Noel.
Yep, mine has grease fittings also. I took mine apart partially to lube up all the nuts and bolts. I angled the disk more and moved them in closer. I also flipped the rear draw bar around to make the center line up better. One thing that has me puzzled is all the disk blades have three small holes in them around the center axle hole. Makes me wonder if there was a small round weight that could be added to them. Going to try them out this fall in my uncles garden after he gets done picking it clean, hoping they'll do a decent job of cutting up and mixing in the left over plants.

I didn’t see that on mine. I’ll have to look. I’ve had them for about 6 years now.
I want to move my front ones wider and the rears narrower. This will help with hilling the potatoes. Hopefully.

Noel

Used the craftsman (2010) tractor to do the spraying.
Last year, I mounted a switch on the dash and ran a wire to the back plate and installed an insulated + terminal.
Lots easier to turn the pump on and off than reaching back and fumbling for inline switch or valve

Sprayed all the corn with seven and most of the garden, then switched sprayers to the one we do roundup in and sprayed the road bank and all moms front yard stuff. Still need to do around the out buildings, but it’s a start.
