That stretch of beautiful days was nice for us and the tractors! I'm sure they would have enjoyed a bath but too late.
Probably the MF8E is all that's going to be abused out in the cold. If i get some covers made, the other two may be outside a lot too, just sitting.
This MF thing all happened by accident to me, but I too think there is something about them that's special, Jim. Easy for me to say since they are all I know a little about---LOL!
My engine re-power thread is on GTT. Well before I knew anything about TF.
MF12G re-power
It's long and considerable amount of trial and error. Doug Hart (DH1) and several others were huge on helping me through it. Doug had done some hydro re-powers but far as I know this was the first gear drive re-power documented. The "Vari-Speed" was the critical difference but far as cables, controls etc. they were the same as what he experienced with the Canadian 13hp Honda clone engines.
I sure hope you can make the time to get your wife's MF12H build moving! I would dig following along!

Put the rock rake on the White 1655 and pulled all the trash, vines etc. off the garden and into a pile. Will load it up and haul to the burn pile as it is to green and wet to burn now. Cleaned the Cub 1512 up and parked it for the winter. Battery goes in the plow tractor which gets the next call to duty.
Well I finally got the thrower on the JD 140H3. Simply amazing. At least some thing is sorta ready for that. Still won’t know if the engine will work till I get heavy load load on it. The engine rebuild by me may not of fixed the problem I was having.

So after the JD 140H3, I worked on the LGT165 Ford. Took the tiller off and got most of the snow thrower on. It’s operational there now, but still have a few little things to finish up. Takes a lot of time to remember how to unhook and rehook things up. Nice to have a few pictures to look at. Makes it easier. And got the weight on the tractor too.
Any body know what the weight carrying thing is on the back of the Ford is ?

Cut grass today this is the third time I thought was the last time. Made my wife some clothesline posts and hauled everything needed to finish in the Sears SS15. I keep the yard trailer hitched to this GT. It makes it so convenient to just hop on and go.
She’s been wanting these for a few years. I never just something else I have to weed eat around. I thought I would give in and do it. She used them occasionally at our old place.
They are also good for hanging parts on for painting!

So now trying to figure out where to put the second snow caster that came with the Case 224. Till I get to it. Hoping to get it freed up and put it on the 224, just for fun. It’s all seized up. Pulleys, chain and what ever. Setting outside for 5 years or so along with the tractor. It’s not getting a paint job. Just getting it operating.

So got my so called two wheeled tractor up on the deck for $@&! removal. Started up good. Two pulls and it was goin. Drove It into the garage, took old fuel out put fresher fuel in. Checked the oil. Tried the electric starter a couple of times. Went thru all the speeds, only use first and second on the deck, turned the blower on and off a few times. All good. Only gets used a few times a year. The fish crate, I know you’s will comment about that, is my cover for the engine.
This old blower I made up a few years ago, for the deck, out of three units. 8 hp motor, suppose to have a 10 hp.
Its a very well built unit.

I havent seen a set in years. My grandmother hung all her clothes out. Bed sheets always smelled so good after drying like that.
Even though she had a dryer, Mom hung a lot of our clothes on the clothesline. Jeans and towels were always stiff, but everything did smell good.
I don’t have a clothesline but sometimes I tie a rope off and hang my quilts and comforters out to dry. Especially in nice weather. Brings back good memories.
I used to hang my hunting clothes out to dry, then pack them in Rubbermaid tubs with layers of pine needles for scent control. Now I take the easy way out with ScentAway dryer sheets.
