Sears ST/16 with a Predator (now Kohler)engine

Not much happening due to work & wind issues! But here's what I plan for a fuel tank.

I got part of the mount made up this morning before the North winds hit and the rain was blowing under the canopy. Belt is here but not on as yet.

Here's a list of things to be done before I can drive it:
Fuel tank mounted
Choke/Throttle cables hooked up.
Belt installed
Ground from switch hooked up

Things after driving:
Exhaust system
Move coil from top of engine
Grille/hood installation
Air cleaner installed
Change out seat
Engine/tranny oil change
Figure out some type of rear lift (other than Armstrong)

Probably more to do, but that is the main things.

Looks like the Sears will get moved out of the way and put on hold for a bit. I have had the neighbors Polaris RZR170 sitting in my yard awaiting parts to rebuild the front end since Aug. 25th when I ordered the parts. They will finally arrive this afternoon via UPS. Also putting 4 new tires on this thing. Be good to get it back home and out of the yard. His daughter will be happy as she loves driving this thing.

Sounds familiar. I have a few neighbors wanting me to do work for them all while I have the house all ripped apart for paint and new fixtures in the 1/2 bathroom, and trying to figure out when I can get to the heater core in my 99 Dakota, at least I have the 96 (which is 4wd besides and winter will be here too dam soon besides) as I have been driving it bypassed for about 2 months or so) still fighting with the insurance over the roof and trying to get someone out to take care of that....

When I moved this out, I set the hood back on to see what was needed. Yes, I know it's high on the right side. Muffler is in the way. Looks like it will fit back on there and I will be using different exhaust. This is just temporary.

Had to make a bell crank for the choke so you pulled it out to close it. More to come on this when I get back to it.

If the North winds aren't too bad tomorrow. Hope to install the fuel tank/line. Then throttle/choke cables and maybe the new belt!

Work fell through today due to the winds, so I worked on the tractor some more. Got the choke & throttle hooked up.

Installed the fuel tank and lines.

Starts and runs great. A little blue smoke, but this engine has set for 7-10 years. Installed the air cleaner.

And got the new belt on.

Tomorrow, I'll hook up the clutch linkage and see what happens!

I'm happy to report that I can now drive it! Have some issues with the belt turning/not releasing, probably rusty pulleys. Found the brake band needs reattached, think I have to pull the rear end for that. But it works. 3rd gear/Hi and she moves out real good. Much faster than the JD 316.

EDIT: I forgot to hit the post button yesterday!
