What are you currently working on??

Maybe the 212 I have sitting in the box won't go on my troybilt tiller.....you're a bad influence on me haha.
That's a pretty good deal for what you get. My coleman was $700 new and didn't have all those features.

These little bikes are addicting as all get out.

Mega Moto 212cc Mini-Bike Kit 569 for the kit now. Its went up a little bit. But the torque converter, chain and everything is right in the box.

Just had a bunch of errands to do in town, then my wife dug out pictures when we got home. Our daughter's 30th birthday is tomorrow so I ended up scanning 50 photos for her. Daughter will be coming home for a visit on Friday.

Funny thing I had no plans to work on this today just use it. You know how that goes.

Just got started and the one inch pivot pin in the hitch let loose. So I gently drag it into the shop and lift it with the hoist and remove the pin. I have some 1 1/8th" stock so put that in the lathe and make a new pin. Get it installed and away we go again. We have a large garden so I had done over an hours tilling and was 95% done when the motor started slowing down and Bang. Smoke and bad noises and lots of smoke. I now have a hole in the crankcase about the size of an orange. The notorious Tecumseh thrown rod. I thought I had checked the oil but now I'm not so sure. Time for a new engine. The Tecumseh had been smoking and using oil for a number of years so I knew it was running on barrowed. time. Going to get replaced with a Predator 8hp. I know some of you don't like them but I have absolutely "0" problems with these engines over the years. And before you start I think you'll find that Briggs, Kohler and Honda have engines made in China. Hopefully it won't be a big job to mount it on the tiller.

I would say your right Chris. All made in China. The small engine guy I use to get parts is all ways goin on about all made in China. And every other order he get in , the price of the parts go up he says.

If that's the Sears/Craftsman tiller, I know the predator 6.5 pretty much bolts on. I have one on mine.
I'm going with the 8hp. That's what's on it now and I didn't really want to go any smaller. Sure hope it starts as good as the 6.5hp.

Hot or cold both Predators I currently have need to be choked to start.

I have a non-epa carb on one and I've changed pilot and main jets, and e tube. Always wants choke before it runs.

The powerfister 208cc clone on the mf7 is the same way. Quick burst of choke and it fires right off.

Same tiller I have but with a sleeve hitch, 6.5 hp B&S Ward labeled engine. With the angle the engine runs when the tiller is not in the ground I run an extra pint of oil all the time. My tines are about wore out, down to about an inch wide. Haven't looked for replacements yet.

I couldn't find any when I replaced mine. Found a like new set of used ones on fleabay that came on something else. Cut mine off and welded the new ones on. Over lapped them and used stainless welding rod to prevent brittleness. Been working like a champ. Will do the same thing again next time.

I haven't even looked to see if these are bolt on or hot rivet. Don't use it in any hard ground, usually fall plowed garden.

That rod wanted out of that hot, dark hole bad, Chris! The Kohler that was on the MF8E when I got it 30 years ago had a similar sized hole. I still can't say anything bad about the Predator I put in the MF12G, pushing 6 years ago now. No regrets!

I almost went with the Preditor 13 hp when the Kohler vented the block last spring. KT13 in a 782 Cub. Found a B&S opposed twin 16 hp with a tractor cheap. Sold the rolling frame so made it a better deal yet. Decided to overhaul the old L head about the 1/3 cost of the Priditor with +10 bored out cylinders. Block is in the machine shop now. Have all the parts, wrpped in plastic bags and ready for the block when it get done.

I was out back and noticed a Wheel Horse with a 12hp Kohler that needs a rebuild. Probably should have used that but didn't think about it. Would have added a lot of weight to the tiller though.

Finished up the wiring on one of the bike so the kill switch on the bars works right. Started bending and welding up a header pipe and muffler for another bike project. Did general maintenance on the 3 running bikes (chain adjusted and lubed, and oil level checked).

I need a new tractor project but I don't need another tractor. The new deere never needs anything but oil change once a year and I grease the deck once a month and sharpen the blades.

I wanted to stick with the original HH120 back then BUT there was no such thing as an overbore piston for them at that time. Don't know if any ever became available. Wife and kids bought me the Predator for Father's Day. They got a deal at 279 bucks. Wife was as tired of the smoke as I was. I needed that workhorse so measures had to be taken to get it running again.

Glad you have a rebuilt engine in the works, Roger!

Sister broke an alternator belt on her Toyota Sienna van. No problem, loosen the 2 bolts then screw in the adjuster bolt.....Nnnnooooooo! One bolt had a steel threaded insert in alternator the other was just a steel bolt in the aluminum, you all know what happened. Has to remove alternator, take it home, drill out broken metric bolt. I decided to oversize it and switch to a bolt, lockwasher, nut. Got it back up and running though.

I’m workin on figuring out what to do today !!!! So, I might take the MF 12, with loader, from my place to my sons place. I have not used it here and don’t have a use for it here now until the fall maybe. So there are things I could use it for at his place. But he won’t be happy me taking up more of his space hehe. The extra space that I get in my garage could be filled up with the Rambler, maybe. Hehe. It’s coming out of storage, so I’m told this weekend. So we will see. Trouble with the Rambler is, it can’t be left outside, if it’s raining. Front and rear window seals don’t seal and leaks a lot of water in.

Finally got the 78 Plymouth fury home from storage which is at my mom's house last night. Hasn't been driven past the edge of her drive since 2 Octobers ago. No cruise nights etc last year so it as at, just got pulled out and warmed up a few times. A few pumps and it started right up,was actually expecting it to run "flat" with 2 year old gas.... Carburetor, accelerator pump, you get the picture.
Surprised it ran great all the way home, about 30 miles with a stop at cracker barrel in between.
Today's project: get off work, go home, put fury on hoist, change oil and thermostat (I think it's stuck open) put my new rear leafs on it so it sits normal again, then bolt on my brand new wheels and tires.
Tires in it now still look new but are dated 2004.
Can you say "may pops"?

Car has 318, I'm 2nd owner from new, I've had since 2007, has just short of 56k original miles on it.
