Welcome home. Glad you had an enjoyable trip.
Thank you Chris!
Good to see you had a pleasant trip ..
So did you get to see Doug Doug?????
I appreciate it Bill! The only bummer of the trip was "young Doug" was coming home from work on Friday afternoon to clean up and head to the track and the transfer case in his Jeep decided to break the chain. Guess that is his only wheels. He lives about 20 miles from his job and then another 20 to the racetrack. Saturday his aunt took him to Kansas City u-pull it yards and no one had one, so they went back south and located one in Springfield in the late afternoon. His aunt lives there so they just stayed the night. He was supposed to be able to get the replacement Monday. Paid an extra 50 bucks to have them pull it. I need to get ahold of him and see if he got it done. Sucks we didn't get to see him again. I missed the info he has of that area's racing!
Was thinking of you drive back with the winds out of the NW we been having. Glad to hear you had a safe and enjoyable trip.
Thanks for the thoughts, Rog! In your area at least it was a tailwind, most all the way to Sioux Falls. Then it switched from South to Northwest, so the battle was I-90 to home.
Sounds like a great time! Glad you had a safe drive.

Thanks, John, is was great racing for sure!
Here are a few pics from the weekend. Just a few of the vintage cars. We rented a golf cart to do a tour of the facility.
This is "Lake Lucas" for drag boat racing. It is long enough to race Unlimited Hydroplanes!
Then we went over to the Off Road racing track. There was a team testing 2 trucks! Only got 1 in this pic.
We drove around to watch. He entered the turn pretty low but probably saw us!
He caught some air coming back around!
Then he entered the turn we were at much higher, covering us with the rooster tail---LOL! Pic was just before the dirt bath!
I tried to get a feeling of what 24 open engine late models look like when the green flag is thrown. I need to get a decent camera again rather than using the phone since the old camera crapped out.
It's Loree's birthday and she just got home from work. I better close up and get into the house.
