Hill Top adventures

Not a good start to the day. I got wet feet as I walked into the kitchen. A leak in the dishwasher gave an inch of water across the floor. Got water every where. Dripping out of the basement ceiling, ductwork, and furnace. Going to take a few evenings to get it cleaned up. Kind of a bummer week.

I found a Brinly a-frame for sale this week. Picked it up last evening. It had a small plow with it that I am not sure what is. So the Brinly 10" was gotten off the wall where it was peacefully resting. With all the rain, the garden is way to wet to play. But there is a plow to check the adjustment.

If you can find another small plow, you can make a 2-bottom!

It is turning into a chaotic weekend. We didn't hear anything from our lawyer for a bit. Then this week things got moving fast. Spent what felt like half a day applying for clearances and background checks once we knew what is needed. If we can continue this fast track, the adoption will be finalized next month. Then my lil wrench mover will stay for sure. He might need a T-Fan account then.

A crazy week of of long days of working out of state. Way too many hours of sitting behind a steering wheel. Almost 5 hours a day plus all day at the job.0501190956.jpg0503191127.jpg
We did all the structural work and the homeowner is planning to do the rest.

JR thinks today is the day to pull an old rider out of the corner. Time to get it running again he says. The real reason tho, I told him it would be good to use with the teeter totter. And he has lots of cousins coming over in a few weeks to help him play. I think the adults will want to try it too. I need to find a flat area in my hillside yard to set it up.

So much for an easy plan of getting an old rider to start. The starter barely spun, so that got dismantled and cleaned. What a frustrating time with the little springs and brushes and my big fingers. But it is back together before I called it a night. Just not on the tractor yet. Hopefully a cleaning is all it needed.

So tomorrow the adoption will be finalized for our son. 2 weeks less than 2 years since he came into our home. At 15 month old, he was just learning to walk. Now he is a bouncing super energetic 3 year old.
