Just had to do it.

That is where I would have been headed.
Ye[p, with a Mopar voltage drop resistor for the lights and points. Starter will handle 12V with no problem and they start a lot better too.
May still end up with a 12v system. I already ordered a 12v coil. Its nice to know I have a working 6v system that can go on the shelf or possibly the Farmall C if that system has a problem.

Once I had a steel high pressure hydraulic line with a pinhole from rust. Found I was out of brazing rod, so cleaned line spotless, then wrapped copper wire I stripped from electric wire about 3/16" thick over hole and a little beyond each side. Then using flux I soldered it with acid core high tin solder. That was a hydraulic brake line on my Massey 1100. Same repair still holding 40 plus years later!

Thanks for the help on this, GB. You fixed another one. I think this is the first generator that I ever got going again. Usually I just put an alternator on and convert them to 12v.
I convert to 12v and alternators also if the generator and VR need to be replaced, I've found it cheaper. I'm amazed at what a good and versatile alternator the Delco series with the internal regulator is
they are almost bullet proof and can be made into 6 volt 12 volt or 24 volt

Brazed up the hydraulic line. It had 4 holes and several more deeply pitted spots. Waiting for the primer to dry and then I will try it out.

Got the hydraulic tubes installed, fired it up and the hitch lift works great but now I blew out one of the rubber hoses going to the lift cylinder. I'm slowly coating the whole tractor with hydraulic oil with all of these leaks.

Took a road trip to get new hydraulic hoses made up. This is at Meridian Equipment which is the same place that runs the auction where I bought the tractor. They usually have the best prices on parts for all makes and they have the setup for making hoses. Its now back together and the hitch lift is working. The relief valve on the top of the cylinder in post #74 was broken and we just happened to have another cylinder in the shop with a good relief valve. Got it swapped and that works like it should also. I also tried the light switch and found one light actually works. Even the bright and dim work.

Gave the tractor another pressure wash to clean up all of the hydraulic oil. My Steiner order came in that had the new radiator hoses, so I pull the Rad to make it easier. Found a pile of rust on top of the thermostat and got that cleaned out. Put the hoses on and installed the rad and sheet metal. I think its ready to go to the tractor show which starts Wednesday and features Farmall tractors. I think my brother and his grandson are taking the Farmall H and Super C.
