Thank you for the update! Your proactive approach to tackling maintenance and paint work simultaneously is commendable. Cleaning out the steering housing and addressing water accumulation in the tube demonstrate your attention to detail. Keep up the great work!Scraped the old timing cover gasket off the front of the engine and cleaned a bunch of greasy crud out of the webbing on the front of the block.
I'll get it cleaned up so I can see it better. Might be when I was pressure washing it that it drove water in.Top of those pillars are usually sealed. Wonder where the water is getting in, in the first place. Steering shaft seal leaking?
I would go along with that thought a pressure washer has a lot of force and any small void could let the water inI'll get it cleaned up so I can see it better. Might be when I was pressure washing it that it drove water in.
We finally got enough precip. now that we are officially out of the drought. The down side is our mountain snow pack has been running below 50% of normal. The storm system and weather pattern going now should help us out with a predicted 5 to 10 ft. falling on the Cascades.Send that rain up this way. We have only got about 1/2" in the last couple months. The little bit of snow didn't really do much.
Where are you located. Having grown up in Oregon I'm quite familiar with the Cascades.a predicted 5 to 10 ft. falling on the Cascades.

Just a guess at 3-4 miles. Close enough that if you don't have trees in your sight line you can see some of the low hills in Canada.Wow, CJet! I didn't realize you darnnear in Canada! How far from the border are you?
