Tractor comes home for a refresh.

So yesterday I got the muffler fixed. I’m hoping now after I do some tin bashin and weld in new piece on bonnet that it will fit. No new parts were bought for this operation. That’s why I keep old stuff around. Was gunna use an old Xmas tree holder bottom, for the repair metal, but stuck out to far. Then I remembered I had some side panels off old propane stoves. Reasonably thick metal almost like the muffler. So cut out what I needed and there you go. Fitted it in a welded. All fixed. Weld doesn’t look to bad from 10 feet away, just like the paint job. Hehe. Any way. On to the bonnet repair soon.

I’ve got one 60’ row of cobblers dug out one more to go. Hoping to get them out next week. Then a week weeks time the superiors will be ready. Two rows of those. That will get us thru till the end of September. Then will be digging one row of inovators , three rows of russets and one row of blue potato’s out for winter. All my rows are about 60’. Bugs are not bad at all now. But. Still have to keep looking.

thanks on the muffler repair Gary. I just hope it work out.

Looks like you did great, Noel! Got more ambition than me to cut down a muffler! I figured the inside would really be crusty but it looks quite clean with very little corrosion! Nice way to use what you have.

Thanks for showing us it can be done!

So. She looking a bit more spiffy today. Painted up engine tins and divider between engine and battery. So on to the repair of the bonnet this week hopefully. Should be fun. Hehe.

Having some trouble getting decals. Ordered from Maple Hunter and no decals yet. But took the money. Ordered before Father’s Day. Son did that. He has messaged them, but no reply. Hope fully they come.

Ya. It’s a 446 Doug. And they show the 446 decal kit. Same as maple hunter. And same part number.

Right next door to you, this business. Hehe.

I think when I looked on the maps thing they are 2400 kilometres away from me.

Noel

Guess I don't know where Maple Hunter is. I thought they were down here somewhere too. Minnesota just as well be across the ocean from here! Right around 380 miles to the border---LOL! Odds are if Maple Hunter supplies Jensales, they may not have them either.
