Tractor comes home for a refresh.

Did a little detail stuff this morning. Of course the paint shrunk some, so more stuff showing. Oh well.

Looks great from here, Noel! I would just bite the bullet and buy a muffler that fits for the bonnet repair. It might be a giant chore to cut it but it's really hard to say how the internal baffles are.

Here’s most of the reason why I want to fix what I got. Pockets not that deep and none in stock. And if that’s US money it would be a lot more in Canadian plus shipping.

Well things went sour. Access panel on the dash tower was painted
last evening. Paint lifted or what I call wrinkled. Only about a inch block area at a corner, but annoying. So sanded the beepin thing this morning and repainted. Looks sorta alright. And that’s gunna be good enough.
And the front white wheels got orange over spray on them. Jumpins any way. So I’ll see if I can get that off. I had them covered over with a blanket. I guess what I shoulda done was drop rags over the wheels. To cover inside wheel too. Jumpins any way. Can’t win.
Now we will see how the rest of the day goes. Gunna put rear wheels on and paint where stands are now. Very carefully paint. Might use a brush.
And got some aluminum rivets to put model and serial plate back on. I’ll see what happens there.

Dirt !!!!! No dirt gettin on this tractor Aaron. Hehehehe. I’ve already had to fix scratches up, plus bugs in the paint and dirt in it. Wheel bolt fell on the rear wheel and scratched it. Out with the touch up. Like I said. 10 foot tractor. Looks not to bad from 10 feet away. Hehe.

Gary, we all have those days. Gettin there thou, on to the muffler and bonnet soon.

Are those, wait for it..................................potato bugs getting in ur paint?? Sorry Noel couldn't resist

you are overdoing it for a 10 footer Noel! Bugs in the paint are allowed in a 10 footer---LOL!

I'm with Gary. There has to be a 30 or 40 dollar muffler that can be used. The muffler on the 1450 was not the correct one. I built an "adapter bracket" that held it level and raised it up to the exhaust port on the engine. When the bolts were tightened it kinda forced the muffler inlet into the exhaust port on the engine. With that Kohler configuration with the exhaust port sticking forward it's pretty tough to do a stack like you did on other tractors.

Ya. Looks good in pictures. But when close up. Different story. Any way. Better than it was.
So I’ll get into the muffler thing on Friday maybe. Give yas a break from me yakkin. Grass cuttin tomorrow, and go to Montaque to register trailer. And give away some potatoes to the fella who has lent me the potatoe hilling attachment.
