What are you currently working on??

Dug the H14XL out of the shed where it has sat for 3-4 years. Pulled it up to the shop with the ranger. Draining the old gas out of the tank, flows good so the filter is OK. Charging the battery out of the IH 782 with blown motor. Will see if it will fire off. Tractor hasn't been used since I got it running after I bought it stored in a dry building so it should be good to go. Have a deck I want to hang on it and find a new home for it. Or else make a yard donkey out of it.

Got a little bit done on tractor stuff after work tonight. Picked up the shop and swept then dug the cutting deck out of it's winter storage spot.
Then got the MF12G out of hibernation too. Put a battery in it, aired up the tires and fired it up. Drove it around outside for a while then brought it in. Took the first side by side pictures of it and the 1450. 12G is sure a lot better lookin'! I'm still probably going to have to use that Bolens/MTD LT for the first full mow, probably Saturday. Sounds like rain on Monday again.

Woo hoo, Mowing Monday’s are gunna start soon. Can’t wait for the first episode, of,,,,,,,,stuck in the ditch.

Noel
So far this spring the ditches are dry, Noel! Hopefully the MM "episodes" are boring when it becomes a routine.

I did mow for an hour and a half tonight after work as it was too nice to be inside. Was stuck inside all day at work so outside felt good after. That Bolens/MTD did good, but the cut quality is obviously better with the MF12G.

Old Kohler in my 782 did the typical stunt and made another oil drain hole on the right side. Been looking all winter from another motor but definitely not another Kohler. Found an IH 582 SE of me a ways. Called the guy and bought it over the phone. Has a 16 hp Briggs Vanguard in it, no fire but has compression. May have to find something else for the 582 and make a yard donkey out of it.

I changed a set of bike tires tonight. First time I've done tires myself in years. I removed the valve cores and was able to just stomp on the tire to break the bead and 2 screw drivers and some soap to get them on and off. Easiest ones I've ever done.

My buddy was closed early so I couldn't get to his shop and I wanted them done tonight for tomorrow morning.

New ignition switch for the Bolens/MTD and the air filters for the MF1450 arrived today. Didn't do anything on the 1450 but worked on that Bolens LT for awhile. Put the switch in, then I had noticed that the bracket on the clutch pedal that pushes the start switch was bent. That's why a person had to push the clutch way further than comfortable to start the engine. Had to build a prybar with a slot cut in the end then got it tweaked in just right. While laying on the floor prying that, I noticed the lower drive belt is in very bad shape. Looked up the part numbers and will order all new belts soon.

The red trail bike got new diggers. The factory tires looked like drag slicks after like 500 miles. I'm assuming the mileage obviously but my trail loop is almost 10 miles and it's made that loop about 50 times in the last 2 years. Plus around the yard and down the road all the time.

I'm a big fan of these sunf tires. I've bought 3 sets in the last 4 months for bikes and they are nicely made. They sell a ton of tread patterns and a big selection of sizes. They have plenty that would fit a GT and they are cheap. Usually just under 100 for a set.

Mowed the back half of the yard this morning. Had a order for some slot car numbers and "for sale" stickers come in so got that out of the way, along with some misc. chores. No tractor work besides mowing with that LT. Wife had a couple different appointments so never had the chance to get her on that thing.

Just installed the battery in Frankie aka, grunt. May do some garden work and plant a row of potatoes.

It's weird how some engines never fail to start.

I went and dragged out an old bike that hasn't been started in 3 years. 3 year old gas in it. Pulled it 4 times and it fired up. It's a 97cc 2.8hp China motor. Has no power but it ALWAYS starts. I'm afraid of what would happen if it didn't start it.

I have 83 Wheelhorse Horse with an 8 HP Koehler. Open the fuel shutoff, set choke, pull once, kick choke to half and warm it up a minute of so. Works every time.

Nothing like a deadline to provide the incentive to finish a project.
A few of the local merchants have got together and are doing a Car/Motorcycle show for the 15th of this month.
The lady in charge of the sidewalk vendors asked us to set up our Garden Tractor display like we usually do in the fall.
So I've been pushed into finishing up my MoCraft.
I managed to get the wheels sanded and painted over the last few days. I was leaning towards sand blasting and powder coating them. But those are the original GoodYears and I don't want to abuse them with dismounting and mounting. Hopefully the wife will have the seat recovered soon.

I was going to mount the tires/rims tomorrow, but I got impatient.
I put the tires back on and even mounted the plow I have been working on.
Now all I need is the seat.

Finished the deck for the camper at the lake. Rode the motorcycle to and from. 30 minute ride and it's a great one on the bike a bit twisty. Not a lot of traffic. Rode the golf cart and bicycles around at the lake too. Finished off with jalapeño hotdogs. Good day. Busy day. Grass cut at home too
