What are you currently working on??

Well that didn’t go very well with the MF 7. Book says 84” belt. Belt I took off measured 84” and very little. You would think that’s normal. So bought a 84” belt that is measured on the out side of the belt. Box says 84”. On the belt it says 84”. Great, should fit. No fit !! @$&£^##£$@); Scratch head for a few minutes. Figured I’ll measure the new belt. Should not have to, right !!! Measures 82.5”. What’s up with that. &)&@$%>£%*#>£$). Jumpins a simple little belt change. And there ya are annoyed. What a day.

That's weird Noel. An "A" belt is always listed as 2" shorter, however that belt should be 84" long. Use a reference point on the top of it the outer circumference. The 1/2" seems off but it is a cheaper Princess Auto belt. Ironically, mower companies usually make theirs's in 1/2" increments so you have to buy a "special" belt. When you go back to Princess Auto, measure the new one before you buy it.

I sure will Jason or where ever I get it. Can’t trust anything theses days.
I did do to outside measuring and used a mark to start at and finish at.

I had that happen recently also, Noel. I needed what measured as a 30" belt. Order said it was a 30" belt. It came I put it on and it was too tight to disengage the mower pto on the MF12G. I emailed the seller and they said they would send another, free of charge. Still 29-1/2". I ordered a 31" belt finally from another company and it's a touch too big but works.

Anyone need a 29-1/2" belt? I've got 2 of them I can't use!

I haven't worked on anything as I came down with a head cold on Saturday. Had a chest cold 3 weeks ago and I guess it went dormant and moved on me.

Take her easy Doug. Those things can sneak up on ya, happen to me, years ago.

I plan on it, Noel, but getting bored is already setting in. 3 days of taking it easy now. I had already taken this week off to go to Denver and do my oldest sister's chores as she is getting cataract surgery tomorrow. My other older sister will fill in for me this week and I will go down there mid-August when she gets the other eye done. I'm still taking this week off anyway. Gonna have to sign off the computer soon as my head is getting swimmy and dizzy looking at the pc screen.

After getting my neck/back cracked, ate some dinner, fed the animals then spent time on the roof cleaning gutters. Almost every one was plugged with leftover cottonwood and locust seed pods and the cottonwood have already dropped some leaves.
After that fun, I did get the new/used axle mounted in the Huskee GT. I know it will attract some dirt, but smeared grease on all the wear points, the old one had gotten some nasty wear/rust. Still have to install tie rods and wheels. I also seen some small stuff that needs repaired up front before I replace the exhaust/muffler......supposed to get rain all week too:(

Working on putting two of these Beepin things together. Sister in laws were out shopping.
Got one done. Jumpins 3 hours or so to put together.

Made in Hong Kong. Jumpins.!!!!!

Drug home a CC 2166. Owner caught it on fire with starting fluid. Going through what has burnt, finding what needs replaced. Has all 4 new tires. Gonna take a bit to get it back to normal.

Worked in Huskee GT to get wheels on and axle buttoned up. Found out the hard way the new spindles are too short for my wheels. The used axle I got must have been from just a lawn tractor not a GT with skinnier hubs on the rims. I guess I will weld up the damage on my spindle and install them.

Did a little fence mending today. My neighbors cows got out a couple of years ago and decided they needed some back scratching and pushed over three posts. Recently a couple more started leaning so before it all fell I did some temporary fixing. I drove some T posts on the back side and wired them up together for a quick and easy fix. I’ll go back this Fall and replace the posts, it’s just too hot for that right now.
