What are you currently working on??

I finished salvaging the # 2 Murray. Used that engine on the Sears LT 2500. Rest was scrap iron. Front spindles are 7/8", real odd ball! Did grab the 23 X 9.50 -12's for the JD 112. The old Firestone's on it were separating in the tread. I need to put a new fuel line on the 112 as it is leaking bad!

Stopped by Tractor Supply and picked up a 3' piece of 3/8" threaded rod, a package of 6 3/8" lock nuts and two of the 3/8" knobs. Got the holes drilled for the cotter keys, threads cleaned up with the thread file, lock nuts and knobs on the 5" pieces of threaded rod. Ready to go back in tomorrow morning. Then get the deck leveled and indicators marked and ready to try the EK out.

Going after a few fittings and some tubing so that I can make the suction line on my 516H. Last part that I need and it is ready to go. After this I am back on the 416-8. Getting the engine in it and having it running before winter.

Started work on the church's grasshopper last night, broke a belt for hydro pump....drove in nice circles:D Drove an hour Monday to get the belts at dealer, belts didn't look correct, he said this was the new replacement. Well, of course, they won't fit, original belt looks like a 3/8" width, these replacements are 1/2" cogged, won't even sit down in the pulleys. Hopefully they will have correct ones when I call.

Do you actually go till with that beauty? Looks nicer than new right down to the chrome lugnuts. Must be a variable speed gear drive. That lever looks familiar!

No I bought that one originally to plow the driveway but got a little carried away cleaning her up. I pretty much just keep it in the trailer and take it to shows. Not sure why I like that one so much. The tiller was bought to use but it’s in pretty good shape and looks good on it.
I use the 210 and the 235 for the brunt of all the grass and snow removal.
This has the variator handle on the right and is an electric lift that is why no handle on the left . 1974 last year of the square rendered units.
Believe I am only second or third owner it’s had a good life and was well cared for.

Yesterday afternoon I worked at replacing the BGB in my 3415S I still have to get the front and rear bolted together then get a battery. I get it done I will change the engine in my son's 3416H as I got another 16 hp Briggs when I got the 3415S.

Been working on the JD 112 this morning. Had a bad fuel leak in the hose between the filter and pump. Got that changed and checked the charging system. No charge. This has the old big regulator on it. I had several of the new style, so I put one of those on. Success!

Got to looking at some of the PO's wiring. When I got it, the coil and the condenser were mounted out in the open.

I had moved the coil under the hood, but the condenser was still out there. Decided to fix that. And the mess of wiring.

The points wire no longer droops down into the front frame and got rid of the taped and twisted connections.

Also. I changed out the back tires yesterday. I had a set of Firestones on here, but they started splitting in the tread.

I had a pair of 23X9.50 Turf Savers. Installed them with tubes and cleaned the wheels some. Now the rear tread matches the front tires.

It’s coming along nicely. Not sure what some people are thinking when they perform “repairs”
I'm not sure if I did it or just hooked it back like it was when I got it, but the condenser was hooked in with the 'hot' wire on the negative side of the coil. Points were hooked to the + side. LOL Starts easier now.

Tractor shed. Several days ago I got up[ on the roof and covered over a few places it was leaking. Used steel and some of the holes did not hit the nailers. Rain today so went back down and caught a real hard downpour. Yep. Moore leaks - about 5 of them. Couple I didn't get last time and a couple I didn't get wrote down. Kind of hard to find when looking from the inside then go on top and look for that same spot.
Will try again in the morning.

I have a couple of fields outside the yard area I try to maintain for aesthetics. I've been picking & digging rocks up for two years so I can mow. I keep the 60" Swisher adjusted high with good results. I was cutting real good then BAM! the engine died & broke a belt. The whole time I was mowing the deck was slowly dropping down to almost just 2" inches compared to the 6". Yesterday I took the blades off & two were bent bad one looked like a dogs leg. After heating & beating & having my own personal Forged in Fire segment I got them back in shape & installed.

Nice going Kenny. Can't understand how some people fix things. Wiring is one of my biggest frustrations.

I had to take the pulley covers off of the deck on the MF12G and leave them off, Kenny. They would pack full of twigs and grass. I could smell wood burning. No longer OSHA approved. Looks like a nice score on the Broadmoor!

I had to do the same thing on my Bolens H16. The po said he couldn't keep belts on it. When I took the covers off I think you could have started a garden in there. It was packed.

Still no real tractor work. I just got released from on call at work this morning so maybe now I can pull the MF8E out from it's spot and access what I need to do. It runs well (10 hp Tecumseh) but the carb leaks and cables are frozen up. I may push some snow again this year even though the blade geometry only works correctly with the blade straight. I used it that way for nearly a quarter of a century so what the heck!

Tonight though, besides reading on this site I had to cut some stickers I was supposed to do over the weekend. Cutter is running right now!
