What are you currently working on??

my thought would be the glue might crack or peel after an amount of use maybe , flex of the side walls all the time , i do have a tube in mine but the fracture would only rub the tube over time and go flat anyways , this tyre has no tread left pretty much , i checked ebay for 10" tractor tires and $125 a pr from America , not happening , to expensive i think , maybe , the 12" pr i bought for the home made tractor only cost $100 for the pr fitted on rims low profile type

Made up some parts for putting a 3-point on the JD 316. I have the plans for a 318 3-point I am using for these.

I need to get some 2" X 3/8" bar stock to make the lift arms from. May change how JD did it some! I'm hoping to use an extra set of FF/20 lower arms on this.

Just gettin started on this 127 today, a freebie I dragged home about a year ago, took an hour to sort out the mess of wires but I got it fired up. The hydro release is stuck in the freewheel position so that has to come out, lots of cosmetic attention required but I wont be painting it, I usually leave that for the next guy... if any collector types are interested they usually prefer them left original. I have a snowblade and mower deck that can be included with it. I did a 126 last winter so there still a few cross over parts left from that project.

Its the "Original Cyclops" Lol

Thats only half of that freebie actually... theres also a JD 314 came with it, havent looked at that one yet. They were over an hours drive but when someone calls a says he has a couple tractors he wants out of the yard the only thing I asks is 'What the Address'... I didnt know what he might have until I pulled into the yard.

Ive been Flipping garden tractors for about 8 years now and Ive come across alot of freebies and good deals... they're out there but you have to know how to find them... and its pretty much a full time job

You will leave that strategically mounted

You will leave that strategically mounted custom headlight won't you. Lol

Lol... maybe... but I do have an oem headlight panel and bezels left over from the 126 project.

Speakin of freebies... guy called this am and asked if I wanted his JD 130, when I asked the price he said enough for a package of cigarettes... I stopped on the way and bought him two paks... he tells me it just needs a battery and fuel.

.... and he tossed a working leaf blower in the deal...

Test drove both the JD 130 and the Cub 127 today.... and fired up the Craftsman leaf blower.

Had to pull the seat/fender pan off the Cub to access the relief valves... they're still sticky but at least they are in the drive position now...

Great looking Cub! I know I've commented about it, before, but the best part of that photo is the background. What a great view!!!!

Went out yesterday to start the tractors and my power King had no spark. Found out the igntion switch is bad. All my horses took right off. An hour later I got a call from a friend and he said that he and his neighbor both purchased John Deere X 300's at the same time and now at just under a hundred hours they are slowing down after they get warm. I understand that they have a closed system but oil can be changed with patients.

Makes me glad I didn't keep my x350 with the K46. 100 Hours!? That wouldn't of lasted me a year and half. Is their property really hilly?

Most reports I've read that if they are acting up its most of the time too late for an oil change to fix it. Best thing to do if that doesn't fix it is try to find a running take out K58 and get that in there. My buddy did that with his Husqvarna, bought a K58 from someone on GTtalk(can't remember who it was)

Property doesn't have hills to speak of but is sloped and they mow from side to side. I will keep a look out for a k58 for him.

Went to start the Cub 2166 and as usual, darn CH16 didn't want to start. Kohler and Champion plugs is about the worst combination I have ever run into. Have had to fight it every time it has been sitting for a while. Engine has had a light overhaul, new carb, valves, rings, etc. Fuel pump is good as I can see fuel in the filter just before the carb. Sure hope I can get rid on that thing come spring but can't sell them if they don't want to start. Once it has started it fires right off. My first Kohler and hopefully my last. Some engines just don't like me and this is one of them.
