What are you currently working on??

Worked on the FF24 Saturday, never failed 3 times I went out, hot and sun shining, rain started within 15 mins.
Anyway, im about ready to push this thing in the river, I truly hate Onans. After cleaning the tank, new lines, fuel filter, the pulse pump would pump. Thankfully I had left the electric pump on it so was able to swap lines and get it running, but still wants some choke. I think ive clean that carb 3 or 4 times, once in the Ultrasonic cleaner.

After getting frustrated, I put the tank back in the CC-3184, flushed the line and cleaned fuel filter. It started, but it's hunting also. I pulled carb and took it apart. The emulsion tube has 14 little tiny holes, I bet 10 of them were plugged with the algae garbage that was in the tank. Maybe I'll find time this week to get it installed.

A couple weeks ago, I was cutting grass with my 126, and it stopped moving. I finally got to look at it this weekend. I checked the pins in the driveshaft and they were all good. I noticed the shift lever for the creeper gear had no resistance, so I assumed the problem was in there. You have to slide the transmission back to get to it. IMG_1191.jpeg
When I pulled the drain plug out, this fell out, the pin that holds the shift fork to the lever. It wasn’t broken, it just fell out.

The hole was worn out of round. I drilled it out and put the next size bigger pin in. It seemed to fit tight, hopefully it stays this time.

I put it back together, and took it for a test drive. I adjusted the brakes too, so it actually stops good now. Everything was good, so I put the mower deck back on and cut grass. It did good until the mule drive belt shredded, and I did not have a spare.

Finished up with the 1440.

Back to work after 3 days off camping (was there 5 days, never work weekends no more)!
Durango did better than expected considering size of our new (to us) camper. I do see a small water leak I have to tend to around the front window.
Still hurting like mad, especially when I get up from sitting about the first 10 steps... my legs got BBQd on my son's father in laws boat on Sat despite lathering up with sunscreen several times while out there. I can barely walk still.
Gotta go to work today though. Hope they don't complain when I get there with new balance gym shoes instead of work boots... I basically got fried in a line just above the tops of those, don't know if I can get boots on even
If it don't rain the next 2 days I'll be off again as they finally Black top my driveways

I never did wear shorts or sandals. Always felt hotter with the sun beating down on the bare skin that protected with clothing. As for those first 10 step when getting up - I go through that every morning about 2 am for a bathroom call. Have to work may way holding on to dressers till it get there. Back and knees just do not want to work that time of the morning it seems. Fighting jiggers now as they are real bad this year along with the ticks. Wood sooner have those than your sunburn. Sunburn is miserable to deal with. Good luck.

Haven't seen many jiggers but everyone says this is a bad year for ticks. Made it thru work today, went to garage to work on my truck cab, took break to eat, might be ready for stripping (dustless blaster) after tonight. Working mostly off of a stool.
Watching the sky and Crossing my fingers waiting to see if weather will cooperate and the driveway guys can work on my place the next 2 days.
No rain means I get to stay home tomorrow too. If it rains (they're calling for it) they won't be here and I go to work.
Today was a little hard getting around but easier than the last 2 days. I had an F150 with a dead fuel pump and full tank waiting for me when I got there.
The guy who we bought our camper from us twisting my arm about buying one of his boats, every time he talks to my wife the price is less... Some of the people who went camping with us rented one Friday and for what they paid to rent, if I get this one it will "pay for itself" in 2 days of using it. I got almost enough out of Dad's 115 to pay for it. Biggest problem is storage between uses .. and over winter.
I want to but I don't want to.
I've had a couple over the years. But the last one was 15 years ago.

I got some bad sunburns on legs and back years ago and currently have to have "pre cancers" removed from the left temple area almost annually. I do my work outside as needed, but don't go looking to play in the sun anymore. When at the lake Saturday they always put up a shelter on the beach and that is where I sat with my full legged jeans on!
