What are you currently working on??

I have about 2 dozen Poplar trees that are dead or try hard to that need to come down. Will drop them on the road, shove them in the ditch and burn them this winter when the ground is snow covered. Won't be in a pile so not big blaze. To soft to make fire wood worth the effort. Soft wood builds up the flue faster too.

Few years ago my son had a friend that bought pallets full of Sears yard & lawn equipment that was returned. Mike got several chain saws with the case. He brought some down to me to work on. New carb on one went to family in Maryland. He took one and I kept one. Both of ours had broken chain tensioners. Tried to tighten the chain without loosening the bar. I made both pieces so we each got a free saw and he got $50 for the one that went to Maryland. I fired mine up this morning, first time in 2 years. Started OK on old gas with Sta-bil.

Still stacking wood. So for entertainment while I’ve been loading the trailer from the pile. I’ve been only taking the loose sticks. Pile is about 6’6” tall, about the same around at the bottom and has not fallin down yet. But I think I’m at the almost end of getting loose sticks out. Most are tight. So it could be the very next stick coming out that may let it fall.
Ya gotta do some thing to make wood workin a little bit more fun, right?

Not much going on with being in school. I did remove the fender from the purple sears on Sunday to paint it, but other things took importance. Durango started leaking PS fluid, metal line has a rusted whole. Put a new battery in Firebirs so I can drive it, it promptly blew a rust brake line. Wife's Liberty needs upper control arms and the rear y upper control arm, none of them will be fun.
I did work some on the cistern a week or so, I'll have to get pics up. My wall coating came in today, maybe start coating walls on Sunday after church

Looks like Noel is playing a giant game of jenga--I think that's what it's called. I was at a wedding rehersal party a couple weeks ago and it was a popular drinkin' game with those kids!

When it rains it pours, Marty! Rusted power steering and brake lines? Man, living up here in the tundra (what it feels like right now at least) we have never had metal lines rust out, knock on wood! The rubber stuff fails first. Still have worked on my wife's '06 a lot this summer/fall though.

Tonight after shoveling scraped ice and snow, she got home and said her low tire pressure warning was on. Took an air hose out and aired them up with "winter air". First real cold snap it is normal. Usually 5-7 lbs low from summer pressures. She also said the "service air bag" warning is on. I guess I better do a search and see what the heck is up with that!

I picked up this tractor cheap a couple of weeks ago. Got it running and the seized brakes etc loosened up. It ran so good that I decided to make it look a bit better. The tin is pretty rusty with some holes through, so it just got a Rustoleum brush job. I think it's going to be my winter snow pusher this year. Got to get the blower put on one of my other Fords yet.
the paint protects and it looks tidy is what counts

I almost forgot that to post about getting ready for what I call a blizzard tonight! I gave the $40 snowblower another test run and everything seemed to work fine. The skids were on the lowest level so I raised it up to 3/4". Got the wheel weights from the MF12G mounted on the MF8E so it should be ready too. The poor MF12G looks kinda nekkid without the wheel weights!

So finished the wood stacking today. Cleaned up the rest of the chips of wood and saw dust with the MF 12 payloader. Had the rock slinger truck in and he put rock dust in the floor of the lean to. Great stuff to make a floor or driveway.

Aparently I didn't take enough pictures, currently trying to figure out where and how a couple thing go on. Hope to have the steering assembled by this evening. More bolts to paint.
