What did you do with your tractor today?

Soooo soooooon ! We are still going gang busters with produce here. It will be this way till mid September.
We canned, froze, and gave away all we could handle with the squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. We usually still have peppers, beets, onions, and tomatoes, until early October. Our first frost isn't until around the end of October.

It's Mowing Monday! Decided to mow today as parts of the yard were ready and it was the coolest day for at least a week. Going to be pushing 100 again starting tomorrow.

Used the MF12G, did the ditch out front too. Wasn't quite as dirty of a job as the last time. Had a little rain yesterday and a bit less wind than last time. MF12G did great. Blew it off with compressed air and put it on the lift with the MF8E.

Went out yesterday to finish tilling a place so Carla could set out her blackberry plants and my 7012 wouldn't even make a click got the latest DA 916 and jumped it, I had to go straight to the starter to start it. After I tilled I put the blade on the DA 916 to level it out. I will have to check the solenoid and the battery cable clamps.

Went to mow in the cool evening, only to find, front right flat tire.

Last time it was $41+tax to replace the tube. So, on a possible chance it was just a puncture, I used the FlatOUT Kevlar tire liquid. It worked this time! So, it has to hold pressure for 24 hours with no bearing load. Then lower the tractor and drive.

I need to find a better price source for the FlatOut product. Menards raised the price nearly double.

Lot of people hate Slime but I have good luck with it for years. Will seal everything from rim leak, sidewall leaks and punctures.
I've had mixed results with slime. I have notice it takes more slime to patch a leak than FlatOUT. With this in mind, don't do bike tires, the added weight to pedal is bothersome. It's about 1/2oz of the FlatOUT Kevlar liquid to seal an entire tire. You don't notice it when pedaling.

I used the trailer so while it was hooked up to the truck the Craftsman GT5000 got used to mow where the trailer has been sitting before I put is back. The tractor has developed a miss. Will bring it in the shop and check the plugs to see if one is fouling. I have a new fuel pump for it too, but it seems more like ignition to me.

My SIL and grandson came over yesterday to set up a blind for bow season coming up. I took my MTD 990 with my trailer and hauled their gear to their spot they liked. Gosh was it hot out, not happy about the woods in mid August. I was going to take the 4 wheeler. I took the tractor so they could ride up in the back but they chickened out and had to get out. Lol

To hot to do much at 82° at 8 this morning. Did the chores, changed out the SD cards in the cameras and corrected the date stamp setting in them. Took the Ranger SXS for a good drive. Have a coolant leak getting into the oil so put a part bottle of K-Seal in it. Wanted to warm it up good before it went back in the garage. Couple more runs and will change oil and filter. If this don't stop it will have to change the head gasket out.

IF it takes 4 times as much slime, that will add about 2 oz of weight. That is bothersome when pedaling? You pick up a lot more debris on the tires and pedals than that.
