Septic doesn't always mean something related to septic tanks and drain fields. Pretty much any organic substance like grass and leaves will go septic when submerged in oxygen depleted stagnant water long enough forming the septic mud. I had an infection once they said went septic after a surgery several years back.
Yeah, I'm darn glad my boots weren't muddy or I may have run myself over!

Had to bring a dead tractor up from storage this afternoon. Rolled it outside where I could get to the front with a chain. Hooked the Cub diesel on to it, moved the hydro lever up to a nice slow walking pace and drove both tractors about 200 yds. Around a pond, across the dam, up the hill and around in front of the shop going between the two steering them. That dash control hydro works great for things like that. Mission accomplished. Now to get the dead one running.
Got about 3/4 of the yard mowed, standing water again in areas so i had to avoid some spots. MF12G worked perfectly. I didn't wear earplugs this time, once or twice a year I want to hear if there's any noises that shouldn't be there. It sounded smooth the whole time. Since I'm sure it wouldn't rain, I sprayed weeds in the gravel too.

I turned the exhaust & muffler towards the front rather than straight up. Made a lot of difference on the noise and the fumes. Don't have to watch it around trees any more either. I did notice there is one exhaust manifold bolt broke off so that is another project. Put the new alternator on the cub yesterday. Back charging again. If the guy gets my old one charging will keep it for something else.
Had the MF bulldozer out again today. Just a little job. Had a woodin platform on the ground to store attachments on. It was rotted out. And wood chip siding bad on the mini barn. So had to get all the junk away from the barn, removed the old platform and trimmed tree branches, that were touching the barn. The branches weren’t there when I put the barn there.!!!! Any way, trimmed them back to where they were 11 years ago. Took the MF dozer and cleaned up the ground where the platform was. Still have to get more junk out from inside the barn yet. Cut up the old platform and threw out some of it and will use the rest for starting the fire this winter.

got a little bit further on the Rover Rancher 2 ,got the rear cover under coated 
and some linkages and heel and toe pedal under coated also
and got the cover painted 
this is what it still looks like atm

somehow i forgot to put hardener in the paint for the rear cover so not sure how hard the paint will set , lucky it's only a work machine
going to paint the accessory brackets and pedals , rods ect red, no specific red yet though just Red , my problem is i can't pull it out of service to do the paint .
this is the donor machine i selected for parts ect it was garden art for some yrs
but will do fine for a parts unit for any other machine

Mowing day as they are talking rain late this evening and tomorrow. I got the 1512 Cub out, sharpened the blades up and after dinner went after the grass. Run for 2.5 hours solid without a glitch. Love that diesel more every time I use it. Rotated the exhaust 90° forward and made it a lot quiter and no worry about clipping a tree or limb. Not all trees grow straight up ya know. Mrs had her 1610 Cub out & not a hitch with it either. Sure nice when things run right. Can get a lot done that way.
It was mowing Monday here too as normal. I would have preferred yesterday as it was a lot cooler. There was a steady breeze that helped. I had to start later in the day than I wanted too since my wife is now home on Mondays but the trees shaded about half the yard that late so that was comfortable too . Didn't get going until a bit after 3pm.
MF12G ran flawlessly and no standing water anywhere in the yard allowed me to get the entire area minus the ditch out front. Still water flowing there.

Ha! Yeah when I tried that stunt the last time, there was no flowing water. It was dumb to venture into it without knowing mud conditions then but when I can see the water---well, heck with that! I been able to mow about one tractor width down into it on both sides at least!

So got the MF bull dozer cleaned up a bit and draged out the manure spreader. Got every thing in order for the Dundas Plowing Match parade on Saturday. I put fake manure in it and throw it toward people watching the parade. Hehe. I might put real stuff in this year !!!!!

Got some other chores donw first this morning with the Ranger. The got the 1512 Cub our and hooked a chain to it and a 1650 w/o engine. Slow pull to the shop with the granddaughter driving the 1650. Everything put away as it is getting real warm out with no wind to speak of.
Yes Doug I built it 11 years ago. It was in many parades and shows for the first few years. Then the fad and fun dropped off. Had it out about 3 or 4 years ago to the Dundas parade. It is modeled after a MF 110 manure spreader and a Massey Harris dinky toy manure spreader.
I’ve had people in it, beside it getting their picture takin. Some thought it actually worked and wanted to buy it or rent it.
The best one thou was a time when I was sitting on the tractor with the manure spreader hooked on having a snack just away from the take out and I was by myself. This little girl about 8 years old or so by herself came to the spreader. She Never said a word. Just walked around and around the spreader just looking. Finally she came to me and said, nice manure spreader, and I said, thank you. And she walked away. I never forgot that. It was so neat.

That's great memories, Noel! Now go show it again and make some more! Maybe that same little girl---well teenager now, will inspect it again!
