What did you do with your tractor today?

Not today but a couple days ago I fired up the x570 and drove it around the yard for 10 minutes just to make sure she was going to be ready!

I also bought the stuff to change transaxle and engine oils.

I'm changing the transaxle fluid every season even though it's no where near the 250 hour recommended change

I eventually got to do some in the garden during last week ,1/2 day including a little seat time , ran the cultivator to de weed .drew a 2'wide row to start building it up for no till row

i see now some of you guys are starting your gardens ect and the days will warm more yet , then there will be no more complaining of the dredded weather hahaha SNOW SNOW and snow

Pulled two out of the herd yesterday to do some work today. The Simplicity 7117H will do the first grass cutting of the year, the Sears SS15 will be hauling the chicken run bedding to the compost piles. The Simplicity had to have a tire filled up & the Sears had to have a shot of starting fluid not bad for sitting a few months.

Since my Ranger is down waiting for parts I decided to get the Boss lady's Honda 200 2X4 out, if it would start. Oil was good, had gas in the tank from last year, turned the key on and had a bight green light. Had to turn it over several times but it fired and ran. Filled it up with gas and she took it for a ride up the road a mile or so. Ran good but need to set the idle up a bit. Basically a play thing as it is geared way to high to pull a cart for yard work etc. Will use the Bolens 775 for that task.

Moved some of the heard around this afternoon. Mowing unit Cub diesel fired off good, ran it outside and let it run for a while. QT 16 fired on first turn. Kind of surprised me but that Onan has always started good. Drove it outside and let it warm up good. IH1650 with the Briggs twin started good, drove it around a bit and backed it in the bay for the summer. Put the Cub in front of it and the QT16 in the middle bay. Thinking rear hard on possibly selling it. Time to start thinning the heard down some. Granddaughters RAM had not run since the first part of July last year when we had it in to the fair. It fired the first pull but I missed the choke so had to pull it again. Drove it out around the garden and back in its parking spot. Have a few more to get going but want the Ranger done and out of the shop first.

Hooked upped my small trailer to Sears last night, pulled it up to main drive and cleaned up all the brush I cut down on the side of the drive over winter. Mostly honey suckle that tries to grow over driveway. Found I have a buckthorn too, finger is still sore from that thorn. Also loaded up a couple old concrete flower pots that are crumbling and some sandstone rocks that needed moved. I'll unload trailer after rain stops in few days

Out snowthrowin with the John Deere 140 H3. Was wet and heavy. You can see how it was pushing the snow ahead of the thrower. About 4” or 5” of the stuff.

Went down to my neighbors place this morning and cleaned the snow out of his driveway and his next door neighbor. I don't do it all the time, but he fell a few weeks ago and broke his foot, so he cant operate his own tractor to do both driveways. And he likes to keep the snow away from the foundation of the house. He some times gets water in the basement. He has gotten me a number of times in the past to do around the house. His tractor is a C20 Industrial MF, same as a MF 240, I think. It has a rear snowblower, so it's to big to get around the house. I use my John Deere 140 H3 to do the job. One side is a little difficult because of a hill on that side. Any way, got it all done.

Pulled the Cub 1018 to the shop this morning. Had a mouse that didn't find the bait in time and no dryer sheets on the engine. Built a nest on the left cylinder. Got it cleaned out, magnet on the flywheel cleaned up. Started it and let it run for 10 min to warm it up good before changed the oil. Will give it a bath with the rest so only pull the pressure washer out once. Grass is growing so need to get the branshes raked up AGAIN !
