What did you do with your tractor today?

Yea!!!! Got to till the garden with the Cub 123 and newly repaired #1 tiller! The soil was PERFECT for tilling......... not a day too soon, either!

I cannot begin to say how much I like the job this tiller does!

Needless to say, I missed out on a potato crop this year, but this evening I managed to get 3 rows of green beans, 4 bell pepper plants, 8 cabbage, and 5 eggplant stuck in the ground! Within the next several days, I hope to get squash, cucumbers, beets, and a few other things planted from seed. It's a real labor of love gardening on a slope. Lots of hilling to withstand a downpour..... I call it "dancing with a hoe"!

Love that Wheelhorse!!!

In the past life, I have danced with a hoe or two.

Got the snowthrower off and the tiller on. Do gardens next week.

Cut grass on Monday. First time in around 8 days. All it had done is rain. I cut once with the deck at 3.75", blew all the clippings into a pile and raked them up. Went back to it after raking and set the deck down to 3.5" and buzzed it off again. It looks good now. Grass was super high! The X570 plowed through it with no problem.

Not mine anymore but it comes back every spring for service, LX277 with 17hp kawi V-Twin and All-Wheel-Steer, change the oil and filters, clean the grass out of the deck and sharpen the blades..etc,etc.... appears to have a minor oil leak but rather than pull the engine at this time of year I'll recommend we do that over the winter.

Used the pallet forks on my Bota BX to move the old Polaris 700 my buddy dropped off into the shed by my shop. That 700 must weigh 700, as even with my heavy tiller on the back, the rear end was pretty light. The Polaris is a "when I'm not too busy" project.

I pulled the 50" JD deck off the MF14 mowing tractor, the idler arm bushing was worn and allowed the idler to drop and tossed the drive belt off. New bushing was put installed along with idler arm, deck blades were sharpened while the deck was off. Put the deck back on and mowed the majority of the yard, deck worked great the whole time. I finished up with the MTD I have due to the rest of the grass being on a good slope, the MTD has a lower center of gravity and works good on the steeper parts.
Rest of the day spent working on the 1st MF14 I redid 6-7years ago, it has been sitting in a shed not being used. I had to replace the points to get the engine running. The throttle cable worked backwards due to not having the correct throttle controller when I rebuilt the mower. I had the correct controller in a box. Installed the correct throttle control along with fixing a few odd and ends. Next is to install the mower deck, I need to find the mule drive and one hanger for the deck first which is on the agenda for tomorrow.
