What are you currently working on??

Did some sticker making I was behind on last night and finished it up this afternoon when I got done running more errands in town. Did a lot of piddly stuff after that but nothing worth posting. I thought maybe I could spray weeds coming through the new gravel, but nope, still too much wind.

Glad you figured out the fuel problem, Kenny!

Worked on a friends Gravely Professional G12 he just bought the other day...was not fun. It stopped running on him which ended up being a collapsed fuel line that I figured out much later after fixing his electric issue. The big problem was for some reason the ignition switch went bad on him. He took all the wires off and broke the plastic plugs that keeps them orientated before I got there. Now all I have is a bunch of wires, a very vague factory wiring schematic, him telling me what to do, and his tools are everywhere. His son came over about mid way of the problem searching. The switch had a sweet spot that it would start but would quit once I let go of the switch. His son is a mechanical engineer came in his company van with a boat load of tools and meters. My guess the switch is bad, the son said a relay and it was getting late so I backed off for a few minutes and went home. I told my friend who doesn’t see or read very well to stop by and pick me up in the morning and I would go to Napa with him. He got the relay even though while going there I told him I didn’t think it was the relay but was the switch. He got the relay and that didn’t help. He said he would go back later and get the switch. I tried to explain even if they have what looks like the same switch the poles may not be in the proper location. We had all our kids coming over on Easter and I had a lot to do on Saturday. I called him Saturday night and he said the new switch didn’t work at first but his other son knew about switching the poles around. Once he got that figured out it started right up. I haven’t talked to him since then and I don’t want to open a can of worms with the fuel line. This Gravely is built very well but very unique with the engine in the rear.

Putting new transmission lines on a GMC Yukon.. What a PITA!

The neighbor's Broadmoor I rebuilt is coming back as there's a crack in the block I missed and it's leaking oil.. JB weld to the rescue once I find the crack..

I got to prep my own tractor (425) this year once.. Deck needed some more fab & weld.. New deck belt and ready to mow once the snow goes away..

Mom's 725 got the pre-season prep as well..

My truck has been waiting for some major TLC as the rear brakes are almost shot and it needs rockers and cab corners so the wind don't blow into the thing while I drive it down the road..

It never ends..

I too am way behind on giving my trucks some love and the MF12G needs serviced before I can mow with it, Tinker! I'm hoping to do the first mow with the Gardenway MTD hydro I've been working on for a friend basically to make sure it will be ok for them to use.

Had an order of stickers come in this afternoon too, but they shouldn't take too much time away from chores here. Almost was able to spray weeds in the gravel, but still a bit too breezy. The day job is what gets in the way of everything---LOL!

Woo hoo, Mowing Mondays are gunna start soon.

I’m slowly getting the LGT 165 Ford changed from winter mode to normal mode.
Tiller could be on today.

Had a slow leak in one of the Denali tires and went to the tire store and they said it was weather checked and needed replaced, They are still under warranty with only 23,000 miles on so after prorating I will get a $900 set of tire for $450. Week before that I got in my Sierra and the clutch was slipping and that will be a big bill as I won't get under a vehicle anymore, too old and too weak and don't have a place to get it inside.

Thrower off the Ford and the tiller on. Sure sounds easy, but it’s not !
Snow Plow off the MF 12, bucket on.
Thrower off the Case 446.
Busy day.

Noel

$900 for a set of tires that weather check in 23K miles? I would be finding a different place to buy my tires. Even though they gave you a "deal". Last pair I put on my truck were 17", 72k mile tread life, 10 ply not car tires and was less then $350 for the pair, mounted, balanced and old ones disposed of no charge.

that place didnt manufacture the tires, they just recieved them and put them on.... I wonder if he could use his $450 credit towards a different brand?

The Yukon sets a lot and it only had 46,000 miles on the clock when I got it and it only has 73,000 on it now and I got it in 2014. I only paid $700 something when I got the tires and that has been 5 or 6 years ago. Wife's 15 Terrain the factory tires only lasted for 6 years and 42,000 miles.

Decided it was time to check on some of the batteries in the mower units. Checked Carolyn's Cub 1018. Turned the key it it showed 12.6 VDC so it should start and drive to the shop for service. Tried the Bolens 775 and it kind of groaned at me so it needs pulled to the shop for charging and service. It is just a yard donkey. Moved to the Honda 4 wheeler. Turned the key and had a nice bright green neutral indicator light so it will start and go in for service on its own. Moved to the next building. Bolens G16XT has a week battery but it is only a tiller tractor and has a different type battery than any of my others so it got the charger. My Cub 1862 was moved about January so I knew the battery would be good in it. The IH Cub 1250 has a slow leak in the left rear tire and it is flat. Air compressor was cold and to far on light wiring to start up so it will wait for a warmer day. Jack under the rear end to get the weight off the tire will do for now. Only one I didn't check was the JD power drive trim mower. Will start it when I get ready to change the oil. Both line trimmers will start with no issue so think getting equipment ready for mowing should go fairly smooth - I HOPE>
