What are you currently working on??

My out feed table for my table saw gets used a lot. It’s like an island top in a kitchen. This year it got some what abused because I had planned on replacing the 3/4” plywood top this winter when I setup my new to me older Rockwell. With the price of plywood right now I decided to just scrub it with some dish detergent, skim coat the bad places with wood filler, sand, and paint. Looks like new again!

New exhaust manifolds (which were a major PITA) and replacing inner and outer Rockers along with new cab-corners is underway. New fenders are painted and awaiting installation.. The work is never done.. New rear fender going on as well.. Why the heck did I decide to do all this?? o_O o_O o_O

Huge amount of work, Tink, but it looks like you are doing well! Just noticed another rust spot on the '06 the other day and the repair I did about 3 years ago is starting to show a couple bubbles again. Didn't replace the metaI. also noticed one exhaust stud gone. I'm not touching it until there is an exhaust leak!

Did cooking for my wife and running to get her stuff to drink and eat, along with the covid meds that are available. So far I feel ok. I hated having to wear a mask in town but I guess better watch out for others since it is possible I'm a carrier. Will stay home tomorrow too. Boss says I can come to work but would have to wear a mask for 10-1/2 hours. Not wanting to do that. She will probably need some help tomorrow anyway.

Thanks for the support, Noel! It was first part of July Loree had a bad cold. I caught it and it turned into double pneumonia. During that the blood pressure went way high and drugs is all that has brought it back down so far. They don't know what caused it, and don't seem to be very motivated to find out why. We have had a dang sickly year. Our daughter came out here to visit last week too, and last night her test results came back positive. She doesn't seem real sick, but she is worrying herself sick. I keep trying to tell her that this is here to stay, and people are going to get it including us. That don't reassure her a bit. She has bought in to all the terror the politicians have created with it.

Yeah I haven't done a lot today. Made breakfast for us and have tried to stay in touch with some relatives that are concerned too.

Cleared my welding table back off, did a little shop cleaning again and worked on some stickers. That was about it for today.

I tried and tried and tried to remove that busted off bolt!:mad::mad::mad:

I had put the clamp on the last time I replaced the manifold gaskets to get rid of the tic-tic-tic that drove me bonkers before that. The progress on the rockers is slow and tedious for sure. I hate bodywork but can't afford to pay a body shop to do it.. So I cleaned the clamp up and re-installed it. It was a joyous task to re-install the bolts into the back of the head and I have the bruises and scars to show for it.

Next time the tic comes along the engine gets removed and it will be easy to remove that sucker. (If I still have that thing)

One day at a time.

That’s a nice looking cart, I like the drawer instead of having another shelf that you can’t see what’s under there. I bought one years ago from Northern Tool that I still have and use. When I was in my 30’s I did some commercial trim work with a guy in his 50’s. His cart went everywhere he did and I would kid him about it being his life line. He said when you get older you’ll want one too. Well I did and it kept me from having to bend over a lot to get things off the floor. I used mine mostly to lay nail guns on and nail storage along with my cordless tools and drivers rolling it around from room to room. I wonder if they have that cart in blue I might buy another one to match my tool chest lol.

Here you go Jim!

Wow Doug I’ve never seen it in blue. I just showed this to Carol and maybe a Christmas present is coming. It was her and the kids that bought my chest and drawer bank.

I got tipped off by a new friend about a MF1655-1855 rear pto cover auction on epay a couple weeks ago. We weren't sure it would fit a MF1450 but he measured his 1650 and the 1655 measurements seemed the same. I have no rear attachments that can be operated with a rear pto yet, but it won't work correctly without the cover. We were on our mini vacation so I couldn't get to the PC to bid. The seller re-newed the auction again after we got home so I bid minimum-$40 bucks. Won the auction and the part arrived a couple days ago. Looks to be in great shape. The seller bead blasted it and sprayed it with white Rust-Oleum primer.

I measured the MF1450 tonight best I could, and the bolt hole measurements are right so it will fit. Figured I'd pick up some Rust oleum MF Red and paint it. Looks like MF red with that paint company is out of stock everywhere, even internet stores. I want to use the same brand paint to be compatible with the primer. Ended up ordering a can of Rust oleum Ford red engine paint. I have used that with MF parts before and there is virtually no difference. Don't know when it will get installed but there are several parts that need to go on it one of these days.

So on to this Case 244 to get ready for winter. Changed the oil and put air in one tire yesterday. Just have to take the deck off and put thrower on. Sounds easy right ! Hehe. Have to grease and lube stuff too.

Finished up the LGT 165 Ford yesterday

Finished the Case 224 today. Deck off greased up the tractor. 8 nipples. Got the thrower off the table. Not easy to do. Put the thrower on, which was not easy either, finally found the belt. Got it on and cycled the thrower a few times. Done. 3 more tractors to do.
Next is the 1970 John Deere 140H3. Only thing to do to it is fix the carb.

Noel.
