What are you currently working on??

That tractor is well equipped, Noel! Is a JD140 a K321? No fuel pump? I see a block off plate under that fuel line. Originally, I had a red screen type filter on the K321 in the MF1450 and the fuel pump wasn't pulling well through it. Put a paper one on it and it's been good so far. Never ran across those white ones.

Doug, the very early first year 140's came with a K301 12hp, they quickly switched to K321's, and had them to the end of the production run.

Yes Doug. It is a k321 14hp engine in it.
No pump on this one any way. I’m not sure why some kohler K engines have pumps and some not. Some tractor designs don’t have a gravity feed system and need the pump. Both my Case tractors need a pump. Gas tanks are under the seat. I did read some where years ago that the higher hp engines needed the pump to keep the carb full when under heavy load. ??

I pushed the W.H. 1267 outside and pressure washed it, May have to do it again after I get it half apart.
I also washed off the C.C. 2135 and the J.D. 110 since they have prospective buyers coming to look at them.
Pushed the 1267 in onto the lift table. May start on it tomorrow.

Thanks for that info, Noel. I guess that if it has sufficient gravity flow, a pump shouldn't be needed. Lots of different applications. I would imagine fuel consumption could outpace the fuel flow in heavy load, high rpm instances.

Having some beautiful weather....
Thursday evening I charged battery and got my 98 firebird started and drove it up by the house, did a quick wash on it.
Friday evening, I purple cleaner'd the engine and rtv'd some trim around the window.
I have had this car since 2004 and it's been good, but I haven't driven it since Nov '21 and it's going to rot away. Cleaning it up so I can sell it, time to move on.

Today, the roof on my barn had been randomly leaking for a few years. I replaced the flat roof 6 or 7 years ago, but never the shingles part. Today, I rolled out some more rolled roofing and sealed it up, should last me a good 10 to 15 yrs. I gotta get barn painted next year (was on my list this year). Dad painted it yellow to match house back in 1972 and dad painted front white about 13 yrs ago.

Love my trees, hate raking, the Oaks drop enough leaves for all the trees. I did blow off my front drive and side drive to barn.
Also got up on the house and blew out all the gutters.

Chased after things for most of the afternoon. So much wind. Lost tarps, tie-downs, fence energizer cover, the typical plastic trash can, the 55-gallon rain barrel, porch furniture, grill cover, hmm, there must be more. LOL

It was also hard driving into the wind. Wind from the sides felt like the vehicle was very lite on that side. Hard to steer.

Today. Tree trimming, branch dragging, wood moving, driveway markers installs, winter tire installations and Case tractor driving. That was todays goins on. No pictures. But I’m sure yous are getting tired of my pictures.
Have a good Sunday members.
I’ll be back at it again tomorrow.

Didn't do much today. Doing double duty while the Mrs. is healing from knee replacement don't leave much time for anything else. Planning and getting meals ready & on time, doing her outside chores with feeding the cats and her goats, keeping the brid feeders filled and bird bath cleaned out with water in it takes more time than I realized. Then Friday the neighbor brought down a chain saw chain to sharpen. Run it up to his placve this morning and brought back 6 more. Did them this afternoon before the race so they can go back in the morning. He bought another 160 A of pasture ground and has his fence crew clearing it out for new fences. Don['t rem, ember if it hs a pond on it now. If not it will have next spring for sure. Has the cows and calves separated now. 3/4 mile on the south side of the road is the black calves. North side for 3/4 mile is the cows. And this isn't near all of them either..

Busy busy today at getting ready for winter. A bit of branch movement, moved a few tractors into storage. But the rambler and mustang into storage. Cleaned up sons garbage to make room for repairs to kablewie. . I’m tired out. Sorry no pictures. Got a week or so left to get things mostly ready for winter. Before bad weather could happen.

We had 2 cords of firewood delivered Friday. It was already split, but most of it needed to be split one more time. I used my 882 to tow the splitter over to where it was dumped, then used my Sears to haul the split wood over to the pile. We got about 3/4 of it split Saturday, then got rained out yesterday.

When we first moved here we had no place to put a dish washer without eliminating a cabinet. I built an island with a DW on one end and a repurposed cabinet on the other end with a two seater snack bar on the side. The raised end panels are sections cut from an old raised panel door. Yesterday I helped my wife repaint it a greenish gray and put another coat of tongue oil on the top. I made the top from some floor joist out of an old barn that had fell. I have a nice kitchen cabinet package I salvaged from an old job that she wants to redo the rest of the kitchen after the holidays.

There was a dishwasher in this house when we bought it. Carolyn said take it out, I don't want it. I will wash my own dishes. So, the dishwasher came out and now have a place for the trash container and ice cream pail for the food scraps for the cat and goats. When she is happy I am happy.
