What are you currently working on??

Yes, the red one was the one he did. After the first Roots show he took it apart to redo but never got it done so he gave both of his to me. They were left outside so needed some work.

Have seen anything or heard from him lately have you or anyone else?
Glad you were able to get them going again.
Are you storing them at the market?

Talked to him a week or so ago but his work is keeping him very busy. I keep them here in my big shed. The way I built them I can pull the wheels and axles and stack them up. I have them rented out to a local church in two weeks and a local christian radio station at the end of next month. If you know anyone that may want to rent it let me know.

Glad he’s doing well.
I’m sure they’ll be making lots of little faces smile at that outing.

Well last night i decided it was time to pull the motor off the gravely an well im glad i have a spare block, when the rod snapped an took out the cam it also cracked the block behind the cover behind the flywheel

The Waterman Lions Club Tractor Show is in two weeks (July 21st) and it's only going to get crazier as it gets closer. I started a new event this year. Drive a Tractor for the First Time. We have old tractors with a hand clutch, so an operator works the clutch and throttle while the kids or who ever just steers.

Avoiding cooking to death outside.

Next thing is to go to work, mix feed and feed cows. Don’t have to milk tonight. Think I’ll play around with tractors!

Dad wanted plow on Massey 14 to make a trench to plant trees anyhow, so I’ll set that up and get it done.

Working on convincing my wife that I need to go to an auction Saturday and buy the case gt that is there because of the loader bucket that it comes with
well.... a trip to the ER kept me from that auction, not my wife..... spent 6 hours there while the auction was happening, went to regular family DR 1st and got sent to ER.... 6 hours to get an IV.... I guess I got myself a lil dehydrated....

Missing a good auction will teach you to take better care of yourself:(

Started working on an MTD 960 this morning. It took about a 1/2 hr to get it running on gas squirted into carb, filed the points, set them and got spark. Rigged up a fuel line and can drive it around now. The clutch is howling a bit, the deck bearings are noisy, it smokes a tiny bit when worked.......but all that will come.

Repainted the hood on the case 195 and then cleaned up the 195IMG_20180708_122415655.jpg and the MF14IMG_20180708_122403509.jpg for a show next Saturday. I also was able to get the MF12 running and attached the PTO adapter to the tractor.IMG_20180708_121452162_HDR.jpg Now to buy a belt for it along with some other items missing off the tractor.

Looks like everyone has had a busy few days.
Serviced my elderly neighbors JD 165 for him. Let’s say the blades looked more like a butter knife but it’s ready for him to use now.
Enjoyed some moments bonding with a JD 200 I picked up a few weeks ago in the cave today. Really felt good to finally get out there.
Removed the engine and got her honed today . Next new valves then back together. No fancy paint job for now just need it running. Even considered reselling it but pretty sure after bonding with it that won’t happen.

Playing with the JD F725 deck. I pulled it as the pulleys were eating into a new belt. This is a double-vee belt, not cheap. Anyways, thought I would set it back into mowing mode. Took the pulleys off and got them cleaned of rust and such.

Yeah, the deck is rough, but it mowed decent for what it is (used well city owned).
The gear box had 3 bolts holding it down. The only bolt on the side the pic is from only had 4 threads holding it in. After some modification, I now have two 7/16 studs holding that side.

Hope to have this back up and mowing again soon.

We have shows for the next three weekends. So I figured I would need to get a Butt Buggy ready.
8 H.P. got replaced by a 22 H.P. twin. Leftover parts from other projects. And nothing better to do at the time.
The wife says I should use it as a bus for kids attending summer school. Rick

Needed your shoe horn to get that one in there!

Actually it wasn't bad. The motor bolted right in. I didn't have the original hood/grill. So I built around the engine with a sears hood and part of a heat shield from a semi's exhaust. Rear tires from an old Huskee/Mtd. Fronts from ???. Riding is a little odd because it pivots in the center instead of the front axle. Bus seats were a gift from a friend. Just something to give people something to talk about. Rick
